FFT - best Final Fantasy, hands down (if you count it against the traditional series), and possibly the most robust story found in a game, ever. I beat it yearly.

If you had a PSP... why would you play this version? I mean the slowdown sucks but the reworked script and the new FMVs are worth it :(

I have the original but my PS2 is in sad shape and so is my FFT disc. Together it takes a lotta prayin' and patience to get it goin'. So I might pick this up. Wish they'd just put the re-done version on for a higher premium. I'd pay it.

I have had this on PSP for a few years now, i dont like how sony is charging you for a game that you may already have, when theres free software out there to convert an .iso image into EBOOT.pbp, and the only thing you have to do after that is hack your firmware, which isint hard if you have the right model.
I think that if sony would have given out digital eboot copies of psx games to customers whom already have the game, then I would have been OK with that.....it's against my beliefs to have to pay for the same game twice.

There's so many other PSX games I'd rather get than these two. I never got into FFT (Disgaea series is the only SRPG I can get into), and personally I felt like FF5 did the job system better. Also there's far better games on PSX that deserve to be on the list, though personally I'm hoping they release Final Fantasy Origins AND the PSP remake. I'm an FF1 whore.
Have they kept the original awful translation intact? I can't wait to set people on fire with a Glacier Gun again.

I was once an infidel for not playing it but managed to enjoy the PSP version (a lot). I would like Tactics Ogre to plz.
HUh no Xbox Live Arcade release, that is kinda sad... at least for me, lol but seriously. XBLA can handle up to 2GB of data and can handle cutscenes (CG and prerendered FMV) so why not on XBLA.
I'm just wondering if the PS1 Classic that's now avail for download has the same horrible spell effect/sound lag that War of the Lions has. It's incredible how you can play WOTL for a long time then pop in the original into the PSX and the speed at which spells take place is insanely fast .. and when it comes to the sound effects working properly (timing properly), it's perfect. They sure screwed up with WOTL with that and it's been a real disappointment for me. So, I'm hoping that if I download the download release, that the sound effects and speed will be proper. I'm overwhelmed with curiosity on that possibility of it actually being done right. I'm crossing my fingers as I'm going to buy it just to see.
