New PS3 exclusive, Rat Race, revealed photo

Crazy things are happening over at the official PlayStation blog tonight. Greg Easley, founder of Super-Ego Games, has announced their new PlayStation 3 exclusive title, Rat Race.

Dubbed a "comedy/adventure game," Rat Race will be available as episodic content on PlayStation Network starting this winter. Set in the offices of the dysfunctional BiggCo, the game is being written and voiced by top Hollywood talent, and New York City-based stand-up comics who we're to assume are funny. Gameplay will involve sneaking, running, puzzle solving, eavesdropping, robbery, and something involving a lab monkey.

Great -- another one of these sneaking, running, puzzle solving, eavesdropping, robbery, lab monkey games for the PlayStation 3. Hopefully when we start learning more about Rat Race over the next few weeks, it'll find its place among all of those other lab monkey games, and really stand out from the pack.

This could actually have some potential. There aren't a lot of 'unusual' games for the PS3 right now... This could be a little refreshing if done right.

And I hope to God it isn't a Sam and Max/Maniac Mansion clone.

Sounds interesting. More comedy is always necessary.

I'd rather control a weasel chained to a bunny.

Looks promising actually. Just hope the comedy isn't to childish. Maybe some Postal2 like humour would be nice.

Monkeys could be the only thing to save the PS3 at this point.

Well fuck.

I like having the original titles on the PSN. Such as how me and everyone else with a PS3 will be getting EndoChrome.

There is a trailer on super ego games website.

It's probably the least funny thing I've ever seen. its like 4th grade/Family guy retard humor. No thanks

This could be good...but as with anything for the PSN, pricing will be key. Considering that it’s gonna be episodic, I’d want to pay no more than $9.99 each time...but I’d prefer to pay less, of course.

It's a rat race and you can choose to play Krazy Kenny K, Karraker or Harrison!

I'm torn. One part of me is giddy for an adventure game featuring a monkey (give me Monkey Island 5!). The other part of me just cried in the cereal because SNL "talent" is involved which basically means this will be one unfunny pile of crap.

Life is hard.
