Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

Prototype is looking really exciting, and I have high hopes for it. It's encouraging then, that this new video shows how into it the developers are. They seem to have invested a lot of time thinking about the game world of an infected New York, and hopefully that care and attention will translate into a great new IP.

In this video, they tell us about the Blackwatch, a group of soldiers specializing in the wiping out of infections such as the one ravaging New York City. These will be your main enemies in the game, Okay, so they all look like the Combine Overwatch, but gas masks rule, so I'm not going to complain.

What do you think about this new game? Can you see yourself smashing up roads and swallowing human beings whole with wanton abandon, or will it just be Assassin's Creed with claws?

No props to VWGTI?For Shame, Mr. Sterling. For Shame.

I'm starting to get a little bit of a tingle with this one. The idea is definitely very cool. Hopefully they can follow through.

That's a slick video, but I'm withholding judgment on this one until we see more. Open environments are fun, as long as there's something to do in them besides fight the Blackwatch.

Assassin's creed with claws sounds pretty awesome to me, although it's probably more similar to crackdown. Either way, I'm cautiously positive. Or at least positively cautious.

That is a well done promotional video, if not a bit intense. You can tell these guys are seriously into their game.

The more I see of this game the more excited I get.

I'm interested, but not on board to purchase yet. I'll wait til it gets much closer and get some on-hand gameplay by various sites til I make that judgement.

Sounds a bit generic, we'll see when it comes out.

Nice video. I'm getting more psyched about it, but reserved in that this is exactly what I felt about AC before everyone realised it blew.

Unlike the team who developed AC, Radical Entertainment has experience in open world gameplay. The possiblity of them messing up this game is slim to none.

Sounds like a good concept, but I still want to see some actual gameplay.

That video was FAR too overproduced for its own good. All style, no substance at all. With no gameplay, it might as well have been an infomercial.

From what I've read about the game and how they're developing the story through the memories of people you consume, it seems like this could be a game to pick up.

Assassin's Creed is so bawlin'. Probably the most fun I've ever had in an open world game. This looks like a step in the right direction after the ground it set.

These are by far the best Combine rip-offs ever. This game is going to rule.
