Don't get me wrong. I know that the guys at Atlus are hard at work to make sure that we get our version of Persona 4 this holiday. But the Japanese are playing it now, and this new Japanese trailer makes me even more anxious for the US release date of December 9th.

The first fifteen seconds or so of this trailer has some familiar footage. But as it continues on, you'll see some better character shots and hear some of the voice acting. And then it starts to pile on the situational shots and battle scenes, which put me on a geek high. I can't wait for this!

Check out :44 in. Did Optimus Prime just get his ass kicked?

I wasn't the only one who managed to talk to Atlus about Persona 4 last week. I nabbed this video from Spencer of Siliconera, who was also there to milk the staff for more details. Be sure to check out his intervew for even more on Persona 4

What do you think of this new trailer?

I think I'm gonna start a personal lockout of looking at P4 media, to keep the experience as fresh and unexpected as possible. =)

>_>....I have a release date for this game and yet Gamestop can't get with the program and let me pre-order it.

@Aurvantoid

Not enough people care about this for it to sell out. There'll be plenty of copies in-store, I guarantee it.

I'm gonna have to go against my own principles and preorder this game.

@Pyramid Head - Not where I live. Persona 3 disappeared within the first two days in every gaming outlet within 20 miles of where I live. I had to wait until Persona 3:FES was released and it sold out on the first day.

Can't find a copy of Disgaea, Ar Tonelico, or any other games in my area either. Games like Halo 3, COD4, and other FPS games or action games usually don't sell out in my area. It's always the RPG's that go like hotcakes and seemingly disappear forever.

I have yet to see a single copy of Nocturne in the wild. I don't even know what the box looks like and i've been looking for it forever.

@Aurvantoid

Not to rub it in, but Amazon had Nocturne as a Deal Of The Day earlier this week. 30 bucks, if I remember correctly. I'm guessing they got a box and just dumped it out, since Amazon has no more new copies.

This trailers leads to me believe that P4 will have 100% less suicide and 100% more Japanese Humpty Dumpty clones. I'm not sure if that's fair, but I'm open.

Sure, shooting yourself in the head isn't as edgy, but smacking a flaming floating card is pretty good in itself. Summon animations are more dynamic.

Rather, shooting yourself in the head is edgier.
