Liked Persona 3? If so, I'd bet that this trailer for Persona 3 Portable will get you really excited. Why? It looks like the best version of Persona 3 yet. An upgrade on a portable? It's crazy, I know, but it definitely looks like an upgrade from where I'm sitting.

In this Japanese trailer you'll see some of the changes. Character interaction is shown with the new female protagonist. There's new battle scenes and even a team attack for you to get googly eyes over. At around the 2:00 mark I noticed that town exploration looks a bit different. It seems like you'll be moving a cursor over shops to enter them instead of having an avatar walk around. The sharp eyes of Siliconera noticed a couple of things, too. For one, a Persona 4 cameo. They also pointed out a series of doors in the video. Anyone that played all of Pesona 3 FES will recognize those. I wonder what's up with that.

Come on, Atlus USA. Tell me you're working on this.

Hehe 1:26 P4 reference. Also, 1:05 reminds of P4 as well, though probably unintentional.

1:42 clearly related to FES Answer somehow. This looks more and more like a lot of expanded content to the storyline than just tacking on a female protagonist. I'm getting more excited about the likelihood of this coming from overseas.

All of it looks great except for one thing... Every video I have seen never shows more than one single enemy in a battle at a time. Did they really reduce all fights to single enemy battles? Even if they do rebalance difficulty accordingly it still would be a bad change IMO. Regardless, still a day one purchase for me. Atlus FTW.

Interesting... Kinda makes sense that they would scale some of the world map stuff back since it's on a much smaller screen. What was that stuff with a dialog tree popping up when two NPCs are talking?

That looks so awesome! The music is so much better and the new updates looks great. I think I also saw a male version of Elizabeth. *nosebleed* Although there's a female main character. How the heck is that going to work especially when it comes to Social Links?
