D3 Publisher has a brand new Onechanbara game in the works, and it'll be ditching series heroine Aya for a pair of vampire sisters, Kagura and Saaya. I doubt many people will notice the difference, since anime children with massive breasts all tend to look the same.
Onechanbara Z: Kagura is the name of the game, and Famitsu says it will feature plenty of blood, which isn't exactly a radical departure for the series. It's planned as a 360 exclusive and is due to launch in Japan this Winter.
The last 360 Onechanbara to make it Stateside was pretty damn awful, which is hardly surprising from a game that chews a single gimmick like a dog does a bone. I can only hope Kaguara is good, but ... y'know.

AWWW YEEEEAAA
Xbox can keep this one exclusive.
The characters are the same and there are zombies and swords in both, but that's where the similarities end. I personally think the movie (the first one, at least), is way more entertaining than any of the games.
Thanks, so there's more than one movie? The one I have is called Chanbara Beauty.
I only bought it because its tagline is :
Babes, blades & bikinis - What more do you want?
Now my wish has come true.
Needless to say, I'm excited about this. I just hope it comes stateside to join the growing collection of localized Japanese games on the 360.
With a couple of films and several games scattered across multiple platforms, I'm guessing the IP must be pretty popular.
As long as it's as good as the wii one or the ps2 2nd game, this should do well with no problem.
im still waiting for a Oneechanbara game for the PS3. i mean if you can make multiple EDF games on both console. why leave PS3 out??
though the lack of Aya is disturbing :\
hope she will appear as a side character.
i really enjoy the series so F the haters :P
Kaida Yuko rocks :)
