New NP Contra 4 poster will melt your face off

That's right, melt. It's that metal. By way of DSFanboy comes pictures that bring to mind the halcyon days of our youth, when our walls were lined with the posters that came in every monthly installment of Nintendo Power. This month features art for the upcoming Contra 4 on the DS, and -- well, I'll let the picture speak for itself.

I want this tattooed on my forehead -- nay, I want legislation passed to have this tattooed on every forehead. If the first word out of your mouth is "ugh, cheesy", bear in mind that this is undoubtedly a throwback to the art style of Contra gone by. Also, please take a moment to imagine how it could've been: ol' Lance and Bill rendered in that hilariously common anime style that seems to have the West gripped in its icy talons, you know, like a certain other Konami franchise.

How often have I purchased magazines for little more than demo discs or posters? More often than I'd care to admit, but in this case, I believe it to be entirely merited.
