New Ninja Gaiden 2 gameplay footage: blood, ninjas, blood, more blood

     Violence

When I woke up this morning, I was surprised to find a tiny basket sitting on the doorstep of Dtoid headquarters. Upon further inspection, I found this new Ninja Gaiden 2 gameplay footage trailer bundled within, along with a note that read: "Free to good home."

I'm not sure if the rest of the staff simply hadn't made their way outside yet, (I am usually the one to check the mail) or if it just hadn't been there long, but luckily for this little guy, I run a home for orphaned ninjas in my spare time. Thus, I bring you new footage of a boss battle and some general ass-kickery from Ninja Gaiden 2. Open your hearts and give it a look, won't you?

I like how he has to give the sword a shake to get all the blood off...

I feel like I've seen all this footage as separate videos a few weeks ago on GameVideos.com. Regardless, NG2 is my most anticipated game for this spring. Seems like they're taking everything that worked well in the original and enhancing it/cutting out the bad parts (camera angles, anyone?).

This looks fucking sick. Team Ninja are Gods. Anyway, I need this now. I just hope it's as good as the original. Why the hell is their no PS3 version of this? By the way, Sigma actually looks better than this. They still have time left though.

There's no PS3 version since Microsoft will be publishing the game itself and not Tecmo. So unless Microsoft decides to release a game they're helping finance and publish fully to a competing system I think the title is a true exclusive.

@Foshi: If I remember correctly, NG2 is being jointly published by Microsoft and Tecmo, hence no PS3 version.

What's the point of all those shurikens being thrown if they don't do squat for damage?

looks so fucking satisfying. like each kill is a fulfillment. each kill should be its own achievement....

"Achievement Unlocked: baddy #2407853 successfully obliterated."

to me, it's like you get the satisfaction of something along the lines of "try and stop me mother fucker. we both know you can't touch this shit"

Hopefully its not as frustrating as its controller snapping, rawr invoking, aneurysm creating predecessor. I hardly remember much from the first game thanks to the mass of narcotics I ingested to ensure I didn't smash the TV when the helicopter and exploding arrows showed up. Fucking helicopter.
