Is it just me, or are the graphics better than official nes games. The eye animations were stunning on such old hardware.
Very, very well done. Looks better than many actual NES games-- this game looks like it would have been a classic. Reminds me of Cave Story, and that is a good thing... Cave Story needs an NES port heheh.

I doubt anyone really cares at this point. Not to mention that this thing is totally new and original, I've certainly never seen a game quite like it.

Very much like Cave story. I love the sound effects and parts music, reminds me of Shining in the darkness.
However im not a lover of how sparsly populated the levels are plus it needs more varity instead of just bats and a few pigs. In short, long stages with repeating baddies is bad and makes for long and boreing gameplay. I will add that the this video the stages are short but it does worry me if itll be like that later in the game. Solely due to the fact its so common in games.

Any game that starts with the line 'Earth was invaded by explosive space bats' is an insta-win for me.
npa189@... that engine is very simular to the kirby engine exsept they took the details down some.
But I think it was smart to do that to make the gameplay sweet!
