Quantcast

I like Renegade Kid quite a bit and have quietly kept mental tabs on the promise they showed with Dementium: The Ward, waiting to see more. Moon, their upcoming space horror game for the Nintendo DS, looks like it has a chance to creep me out in all the ways I hope for a game to.

In this video, Renegade Kid owner and creative director Jools Watsham shows us one of Moon's bosses: Sanctus Vector, a mega-powerful security drone lying deep in the bowels of Product Storage below Alpha Base.

Since Moon has been described as "dark, twisted, violent and disturbing," I can safely say I am glad the wait is almost over for this title (it hits shelves on January 13th). I hope to be sufficiently creeped out very, very soon.

I personally find robot bosses to be disappointing, as they usually have little to no personality. Still, the game's engine looks impressive, considering it's on the DS.

I can't wait to get my hands on moon. I want it so bad I could almost weep openly...almost.

Ugh.......looks so choppy and grainy. Why can't most developers achieve what Nintendo did with Metroid Prime: Hunters? :S

Could they showcase a boss that doesn't just have a "weak spot?"

Wat? Certainly wasn't a damn thing creepy or twisted about that. Look kinda like a crappy Mega Man Legends enemy or something.

I don't know how people can look forward to something like that.

Shoot the boss til weak spot appears.

Wow.

And with horrible graphics and most likely annoying controls as well (it IS an FPS on the DS after all).

Couple that with the least scary enemy possible, droid robots, and you've got a recipe for boredom.

Haha, from the preview pic, I seriously thought that this was a shmup and the director was the final boss... revealed!

Yeah... to anyone that is surprised by that: you should know by now that I'm an idiot.

If you really think about it, it's amazing that a game is being made today with worse than doom 1 graphics and people think its an impressive engine. I know it's the ds, that's not the point.

Yaisuah...if you think this is worse then Doom 1's graphics you've clearly never played Doom.

I'm personally hoping that the game has more impressive levels then this one and the early screenshots had some wonderful looking environments.
