FourZeroTwo has posted some direct-feed multiplayer footage from Modern Warfare 2. The match is a Capture the Flag gametype and holy good God does Modern Warfare 2 look epic. There’s so much action going on, the new weapons sound fantastic and it all just looks great. I’m digging the Riot Shield and that Sniper rifle at the end sounds beautiful. Also, throwing knives!

Looks cool. I wonder if it will borrow some of the things that KZ2 did well... such as combining different gameplay types into one match. The health indicating blood on the screen looks much better than the KZ turning black and white thing, but I really dont like having my screen get ugly when I'm dying. I wish we could use some other indicator.
Holy hell I'm sold. Why can't Borderlands be pushed back too? It's the cool hip thing to do! I can't wait for that shield then I might not be picked off from a mile away.
If we can dual wield a pistol and a riot shield...though if MGO has taught me anything(using Runner 3 and Shield+ 3), it's actually pretty fun being able to quickly dash at someone while their bullets bounce off your shield, and then bash them in the face with the shield to knock them out.
Still can't understand why the majority of gamers seem to like games like this... it's not a sim but everyone dies in two bullets. Just like CS, I dun' get it.
Jesus, that snap-to auto-aiming when going down the sight is freaking TERRIBLE. I really have no idea how most of you can accept that on console... I experienced it in CoD3 and it was just awful. You could just keep clicking the down the sight button and kill a group of soldiers in seconds.
Anyway, the footage itself looks amazing, can't wait to play the game.
Looks awesome. 1st day purchase on PC. Heres hoping its available on steam... Unless the patching issues stay the same.
Either way this games looks awesome. But i can tell you this, the target snap to on the 360. Holy god, I forgot all about that. Own both 360 and pc, and PC is the better of the two.
Ok, this trailer actually made me a little leery of some things. Riot shield seems overpowered, the player that the camera is on takes a boatload of hits (anyone else notice the practically direct RPG hit he took on the stairs?) And between this and the previous multiplayer footage, the guns look awfully easy to aim (NO RECOIL HAX!) I've got the faith, was a huge CoD4 fan, but with every new thing they add, its a new thing that might break the fun. I pray the balance will be there.
Looks great. I also like the player info card that pops up when you've killed them, which looks like they've taken from SFIV. I think it's a nice addition. I wonder if the riot shield has a resistance life, so it means you're not invulnerable to frontal attacks all the time.
Video seems very setup to make the video look cool (people on other team dying at crazy rate, player recording taking lots of damage, perfect plan works perfectly).
Either way, fuck Activision, I'm pirating the fuck out of this instead. Does that make it right, probably not, but fuck em.
Also, FINALLY, no more losing hosts in the middle of a game. Developers of any online game, get that shit sorted! :] Glad IW chose to implement the system, Halo I think has had that for years.
Wow....host leaving game won't cause it to end...knife throwing (classic goldeneye... and riot shields... I might as well quit college cause there is no way im gonna be able to turn away from this game!

i like cod4 MP but never got super into it because by the time i had it everyone had awesome weapons and i couldnt get kills to unlock new weapons. so it kinda sucked.

God forbid a developer actually ADD cool new stuff to a game... I don't think knives/shields will make MW2 anything but even more spectacular.

Buy the 360 version... You will be paying 60 dollars for MW2 and 360 licensing fees instead of 60 dollars for MW2 and Bobby Kotick's new yacht.
