Mindjack is out next week and it has a concept which has definitely piqued my interest. The idea of corporate-controlled societies always fascinate me and the line of thinking that technologies are in development that could wrest control of my very will sends a little chill up my spine.

Square Enix decided to take a much more lighthearted approach to the effects such a technology could have in the lives of the people. Yes, this would be pretty horrifying too.

I'm *kinda* unsure about this game, sounds cool as, quite like the idea, but wouldn't want to drop £40 on a game that I don't know that much about.

hmmm, what do you reckon Dtoid? Renter or a buyer?

I couldnt say. The concept seems interesting and the gameplay I've seen looks pretty cool but my fear is the mind control woul be a gimmick unless there's a massive variety of things to control.

That's my filthy tuppence worth tho, I could be utterly wrong about it and it's actually goty material.

There has been nearly no coverage for this game, anywhere, and little info; it comes out next week. Normally this would not bother me, but even small indie games and psn downloads get more info than this. Either they're trying to hide how shitty it is, or something else, but whatever it is I'm not comfortable payig for a Squeenix game that has plenty of blown-out-the-water revelations, let alone this.

Agreed. Basically straight from announced to on shelves, which isn't a good sign, but at the same time, this is Squeenix, so it could just be them being inept at marketing anything that isn't FF. Perhaps Dtoid can review and let us know? But after Hunted. Hunted comes first.

I'm confused, was he highjacking the dog's body? Why was the human body doing what the dog was doing and not the reverse?

so you can take over civilian bodies. Unless in the future everyone is extremly athletic i imagine the Mindjack agents are going to be deeply disappointed by their aquired bodies performance...'why am i winded after sprinting 50 feet?' or after trying some crazy kung fu kick 'AWWWwww MY GROIN!' yea, i doubt most bodies are combat ready

that was a terrible trailer. i want this game to be good, but based on that commercial.... :/ idk

such a cool idea turned into such a dumb ad. doesn't even make sense with the premise.

I don't recall seeing very many civilians to overtake in the various gameplay videos I've seen. Something tells me this can wait until it reaches the $30 pricepoint, especially remembering how Square recently gameraped Front Mission.

I love that the trailer for Mindjack is preceded by an ad for... Mindjack.
