Olympic-standard tipster, BlindsideDork, has unsurprisingly struck again, this time putting us onto 5 new screenshots and a title logo from the only-dated-yesterday Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.
Sourced from NGCFrance, they depict Samus battling through the traditional array of desolate industrial landscapes, some unidentified members of the additional cast, and at one point what appears to be Samus flitting through the sky using the grappling beam while wearing a black suit.
What this new armour variation might be is anyone's guess at the moment, but obviously given the combination of its colour and the swinging action in the shot, Retro Studios are currently being searched for any and all My Chemical Romance albums which may be on the premises.
There's also a line on NGCFrance's page which seems to infer a lack of multiplayer, though it's probably better to wait for official word from Nintendo before we start any petitions.
Hit the gallery for the full set.

For a system that is supposed to be more powerful then the CG (claim to the beautiful RE4) it sure does not show in anything...
They are just screenshots, videos are much better examples of quality...that is if they are done properly.
I stopped looking at screenshots a long time ago. Even on shit like GoW or Crackdown, all I saw was aliasing. All over.
That said, I don't see any visual improvement from MP (last one I played) to this one. ::sigh:: I'll have to wait for video, I suppose.
And this one seems to involve a lot more movement than the previous 2...not to mention giving the grapple beam to your free hand, and grabbing shields from enemies and...this just looks awesome and I can't wait!!!
oh, snap.
but seriously, are these ds screens
Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! The scanning!
</baseless speculation>
And I liked the old logo better, with the logo itself looking "corrupted."
Do you guys even remember multiplayer in prime 2? It was a DISASTER. Not fun. Prime 3 had better be spending all their time on single player.
I may be in the minority, but I hate Hunters on the DS. horrible FPS controls, no exploration, little back tracking. It played more like Quake than Metroid.
Metroid Prime is NOT AN FPS. anyone who has ever played this series knows that. an FPS puts the focus on fire fights and aiming. Metroid Prime's focus is on exploration and puzzle solving. You can lock on to virtually every enemy, and the challenge is never getting a clear shot, its using the right weapons at the right time and the right place... its all puzzles.

that rolls into a bomb and blows everything to kingdom come!
grr! gosh darn it BBCode!
Also, I think bump mapping was confirmed for whomever raised that question.
SO... its in First Person, and... you shoot things. But its not a FPS?
Don't blame a system for not having games you enjoy. Blame your stupidity.
Or is this another case of me being one of the Big N's Geriatric Gamers trapped in a youthful mortal shell?
SPAM ALERT!!
New pic of Chris Nolan's The Joker, portrayed by Health Ledger.
They hired a character from The Tick to play a character named 'The Gambler', but he isn't even a comic book character. o.O
They also hired that one guy to play two-face.
Your guess = as good as mine.
I kind of like how they didn't introduce Two-Face as his friend in the movie that he is the villain in. That is just being SMART!
Oh yeah, I made a little poll in the Social Lounge on this topic, don't know who is going to jump on it though.
