New Medal of Honor teased on Battlefield 3's online pass photo

Battlefield 3's online pass printout brings more to consumers than just an inconvenient input code -- printed on the reverse is an image that seems to be teasing another Medal of Honor game. It features the game's official site, as well as a logo of a grinning shark-shield.

We last saw Medal of Honor in 2010, where it received middling-to-good reviews. I wasn't too impressed with it when I played the thing, even with the inclusion of Cowboy and his magnificent beard. Hopefully the next game won't try to copy Call of Duty in such a manufactured and desperate fashion.

Anyway, you can bet that Medal of Honor will be EA's attempt unseat Activision once again in 2012. We can start looking forward to the next War of Military Shooters right now.

My vote for the best military shooter of 2012?

Is Medal of Honor going to be the Treyarch-like version of Battlefield? So EA is milking their franchises the same way as Activision, just with different names.

I got Medal of Honor cheap ass cheap on Goozex (thanks, online pass caused depreciation), and you know what? I liked it. I liked it more than any of the newer CoD games I've played because it felt like a modern CoD2. There was nothing really special about the campaign, but I wanted a fairly classy military shooter, and it came through on that front.

I look forward to another one as long as they keep the tone from the first. I can only assume I'll be able to get it wildly cheap in the second hand market again, considering I can't be bothered with the online.

I actually liked Medal Of Honor, online and all. The campaign felt like as close to a real life set of military events than any game has come close to yet (but still remembers it's a game)

Plus the online was way more my style than Battlefield where Jet and Tank raping is a thing, MOH was all about hunkering down, covering high traffic areas and flanking. If anything it was kinda like CoD except there was more tactics to it which was fine.

I did not mind MoH at all, brand new for $20 now and totally worth it.

I also picked this up for sale on PC. Found several active Dallas servers and enjoy this Battlefield mini, reboot of the franchise.

The COD series is started as a clone of the original MOH series.

YUP! nail on the fuckin head.

BF3 beta felt like playing MOH 2.0
This oversaturation of all these pewpewpew shooters is getting pretty tired.

Not surprising, considering it's already been confirmed EA is working on MOH 2.

I loved MoH, it had a much more realistic tone and structure than either the CoD or BF games. I'm more than open to a sequel as long as they don't turn it into Battlefield: Tier One Ops and replace all of that with f-bombs and stay frosty's and keep it grounded in real world conflict.

Oh, and have the SP and MP developed by the same group and engine. It was incredibly odd to jump into MP and not be able to do all of the things I did in the SP, mainly the slide to cover bit. I loved the MP to death though, it's a shame it died so quickly.

I felt MoH had a well placed Single player campaign. I actually wanted to play more, but it ended at 4 hours.

I almost went through it again though. It's just a really tight campaign mode.

The multiplayer was stupid though, partially (read: mostly) because different engines and such.

I liked Medal of Honor but it doesn't take long to see everything that game has to offer. The best part is the inclusion of Frontline.

Not sure you can clone something that came out after the "clone" did.

MoH was a decent game. I got to admit though, the sounds on MoH were way better than CoD. The fact that everything had so much bass, wearing turtle beaches with bass boost on was like getting raped in the ear.

I also enjoyed Medal of Honor. It stuck closest to what my (ignorant) idea of what a nasty war like Afghanistan might be like to fight in. it had it's own heaping helping of silliness, but the overall feel of the game seems gritty enough. At least it didn't have Afghans invading America....

Fucking hated the recent MOH. To me it was an immense waste of money, and I'd rather hit my dick with a hammer than play that shit again. No thanks.

If they take on community feedback (which, apparently they are doing), make it feel like it has an identity, rather than COD mixed with BF, and throw in some Frostbite 2... then they may just have a winner..

I got Medal of Honour around about the same time I got Black Ops.

I didn't touch the single player campaign in either - and i played a metric fucktonne more Medal of honour than I did Black Ops.

Was just a better game. Felt like Battlefield but with a CoD shooting gallery sytle. Neither were perfect, but MoH was pretty fucking good.

I fucking loved medal of honor my only complaint is that the campaign was a bit short and there wernt alot of maps for multiplayer. Add another 3 hours to the campaign and the same multiplayer as before with 10 or so more maps. MoH 2 fucking goty
