Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

Over the weekend, I was playing some good old Super Mario World with Niero and thinking to myself "Why don't I enjoy Mario games anymore the way I enjoyed this?" Don't get me wrong, I did really like Mario Galaxy, but there was some level of addictiveness with the older entries in the Mario series that it just didn't ignite in me. And then I remembered ... Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story is coming. And I can't wait to get my hands on it.

We have two new vignette videos for you from the game today, one from the perspective of the Bros. and one from Bowser. The game comes out exclusively for Nintendo DS on September 14, so we really don't have long to wait. Are you looking forward to this game as much as I am?

Can't wait for this game. Partners in Time is still one of my favorite DS games, and i'm playing through Super Star Saga right now. I feel like this is one of the few Mario series that consistently gets overlooked, and i'm not sure why. It's actually a really refreshing take on the RPG genre.

This definitely is the game I'm looking forward to after Scribblenauts. Although I'd like to play through the first two games in the series (not that it's likely the plot will carry over) before I grab this.

Also, both the videos are the same Bowser video, the one from the Bros perspective is missing.

I would compare the experience of watching this video, to semen getting expelled from my genitals.

@kingtobo

Judging by the video, the plot actually does carry over, so play the first two. It's worth your time.

Videos not working for me? It just loads and loads, saying "Your video will resume in..."

Could it be Firefox to blame?

Thankyou so much Colette for bringing this to my attention, the original Superstar Saga is one of my favorite rpgs to replay because of the whimsical spirit and easygoing gameplay control. I was wondering though if anyone played the sequel on the DS and if they would recommend it? I was put off by the 4-way play that was implemented as it seemed gimmicky to me at the time. But the recent info on Bowser's Inside Story have me wondering if i missed out on a gem. Can anyone help?

@Xarias: Do you have Ad-Block +? If the player can't load the ad it won't play the video so you should turn off any ad blockers.

@Bishna

I have played both games from beginning to end, and I like Superstar Saga more. The linearity of Partners in Time really turned me off, especially when I realized that enemies would not respawn in most places.

Superstar Saga felt a bit like Metroid in that I could travel to a lot of places if I wanted to even if I was unable to pass through a door or obstacle. It felt more like a "world" than a series of connected places.

(Fittingly, I had the same issue with Metroid Prime 3 when compared to the original Prime.

Both games are delightfully hilarious, though.

Oh, and this game comes out SEPTEMBER 14th.

Both videos are from the perspective of Bowser, FYI.
And in answer to your question, yes I'm excited but will likely wait till a price drop because I never feel good about buying a DS game, BECAUSE THEY'RE SO DANG EXPENSIVE. Or at least that's what I think.

Man, I don't have time for another good game! I'm just trying to get Shadow Complex 100% completed before picking up Arkham Asylum, and now this.

Damnit all.
