For a
Halo fan, this has everything that they need to make their pants tighten up. Needlers exploding, Brutes getting shot up, Banshees flying over head, Pelican providing some back up, and of course, that
fully functional Warthog that WETA made. All stuff people were wanting to see as apposed to all the
eye candy from the first video from the first live action
Halo video.
What do you all think? Can the Halo movie (if it ever comes out) be ... dare I say it, good?

It looks like a Gears movie, therefore gives me hope for Gears.
Good find.
HOWEVER. I've always found the games quite cartoony, and not as gritty as this at all. I mean, the colouring compared to the games is vastly different and the voices for the grunts are rather innocent and child like. I assume the movie project is going to lean away from this and be more focused on the adult side of things.
The FIRST DAY sales of Halo 2 and Halo 3 are estimated to equal $300,000,000 between them, enough to cover the development of all three games and leaving enough left over to put into a movie. If they REALLY want to see this movie made, Microsoft/Wingnut and Bungie should just make this on their own and get a distribution deal, which is much cheaper than a production deal.

Looks better than the last one. I really want to see more Covenant action, though. It was cool to see a glimpse of some Brutes, and to see Helljumper armor. Hopefully they'll keep making them, with increased quality.
Its VERY different to the game though... The game would benefit from this grittier feel, rather than the cartoony feel we've had.

Although I agree it looks cheesy as fuck, most movies pre production stuff does look cheesy :).
Beyond that, it still looks horrible.

shaky cam, when used in moderation, does wonders. however, when the whole thing is shot like that, it just gets nauseating. that didnt even look like halo...the combat was COD reminiscent, where as the combat in halo is slower and more controlled.
There are plenty of "Cooking Mama" and "50 First Dates" blog entries elsewhere on the net, maybe they want to hear your opinion on Halo.
I mean, you don't see me going over to the My Little Pony Yiff Cosplay forums or something and posting my opinions on their activities there, do you?

That's not Master Chief, that's a Helljumper. The armor's quite different, but it's hard to see under those conditions. They would never show the actual Master Chief in one of these shorts, I'm pretty sure.

The graphics don't look next-gen enough, in that clip. I'm selling my Xbox and buying a Wii. *pout*
