New levels coming to Monument Valley photo

Monument Valley was a wonderful little puzzle game released for iOS devices. As fun as it was, I thought it ended a little too soon. Thankfully it looks like more levels are coming.

In an interview with The Guardian, director Neil McFarland stated that they "are making some more levels, but the reasons we’re doing it are artistic reasons: there are some ideas that we didn’t get to work so didn’t put in there, but which we’d like to see work. There are some other things we’d like to try."

We can expect an Android release soon, and that the developers are looking into bringing the game over to the PlayStation Vita as well. I was also pleased to learn that Monument Valley made back its development costs during its launch week, and has been topping the iOS charts all around the world including China.

Monument Valley looks a bit like Fez x Echochrome

That soothing music was nice before I go drive to the middle of nowhere to do my taxes. I don't have anything that will play Monument Valley (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch), which is out now, but if I did, I would. Thankfully an ...more

Monument Valley channels M.C. Escher, but with color

Since I was a young boy, I've been fascinated with the works of M.C. Escher. I appreciate his tessellations from a mathematical standpoint, but I really love the drawings that abuse perspective to create impossible construct...more

Titan Souls is my PAX Prime 2014 game of show

Confession time: I'm pretty out of the loop when it comes to the indie game scene. I love me some Nidhogg, Samurai Gunn, and Crawl, but it's not uncommon for me to have only heard about these games just before release or late...more

Adam Freeman's Berzerk-influenced Hazard is pretty snazzy, also completely free

What if Berzerk were reborn as a first-person shooter using the DarkPlaces engine? What if the soundtrack were crafted by electronic music producer Wolfgun? What if you could be playing this game, right now, fo...more
