Sadly, we couldn’t find a way to present you with the trailer here, so please enjoy the picture instead. To see the new trailer for Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles use this link and keep clicking where it says “new.”

Have you watched it yet? Yeah? Good. What did you think? Pretty snazzy, huh? The trailer shows off quite a bit more of the game than what we’ve seen so far. The train level -- along with that weird lab and the mansion that no one will ever forget -- all make an appearance along with some hot Wesker action.

On a side note, I’d like to say that I’m not very excited for this game's release. A few of us actually got a chance to play this game awhile back, and we weren’t too impressed. The controls were hardly what you would call good, at least in the way that gun-style zombie games should be, and it really detracted from the experience. But, and this is truth, I have recently heard word from the folks at Capcom that these issues have since been fixed, and that RE:UC now plays like your typical gun game. Huzzah!

So, uh, I guess I am looking forward to it again. How about you?

[Update: Thanks to zBBz, we now have the video for you in all its glory, courtesy of File Front

I'm going to take this opportunity of being awake at 6am (still up, not already up, as usual) and make the first comment.

I don't even know what CONSOLE this is coming out for. I guess it's not Nintendo. My fanboyism makes me ignorant.

Okay, that trailer got me pretty pumped. I'm still going to wait and hear the critics before I go and pick it up though. I've been burned by Resident Evil before...

Hooray, they have different voice actors for Jill and Chris!

I'm really just buying this for the new bits of the RE story. The game can me largely unplayable for all I care.

It's coming out for the Wii. So, you aren't the fanboi you thought you were.

I'm going to buy this game for co-op alone. Everything else is gravy.

dprime is full of epic fail.

Beyond that, DO WANT! The game now officially looks more awesome than before. And with co-op an official confirmed option it can only get better.

For an on-rails shooter, it looks pretty slick. That, and if there is one franchise that I'm absolutely gay for, it's Resident Evil.

Im going of the fact it's FOR THE WII that its probably for the wii. I'm actually impressed with the trailer, to me it looks like a very enjoyable game, single and co-op.

I'm just waiting for the Zombie-Mii minigame, now that would be ace.

You guys also said that RE:4 wii stunk, and you were waaaay wrong on that. Whoever it was that had the hands on write up said, "I played it more than anyone there. Who you going to believe, all the people that say its good or me?" I believed them, and Im glad I did.

My biggest complaint with the RE series, and why I never got into them besides RE4 for the Wii is, (surprise, surprise) the control system. I have always hated that you couldn't sidestep and could only turn then go forward, or move around while you shoot. Little gripes, I know, but still they detracted from the playing experience for me.

The filmed Resident Evil: Apocalypse in my hometown, up here in Canada. Actually the filmed a few parts on my STEET: when the racoon city citizen bitch jumps off the roof after buddy rappels down from the helicopter shooting zombies (the "roof" was a parking lot on street level), a couple scenes in alleys, and a huge gunfight with burned out cars and s.w.a.t. vans.
Milla Jojovich is mad hot, and short.
Security let us sit in a raccoon city police car so we could take pics, and I subsequently ripped off the logo on the side of the car. The also crashed a helicopter into a local gorge. The gunfights at 3 in the morning down the street were loud, most movies dub in the sounds later, they just used extra loud blanks for this movie and recorded the audio live. Good times, here is a pic of the logo I snagged:

It looks like tired shit, what annoys me about this game is that one of the few things they need to get right, they get wrong. It's a gun game, all you basically need is good control of your sighter and a sense of firing power.

When you fire at a zombie, you want a satisfying sense of imapct and power, you want chunks of zombie flesh exploding and being knocked out of their bodies House Of The Dead style. But for some reason Capcom's reserve development team have decided to go for a red paint ball look and feel.

Totally lame and strangely passive for a game that's meant to be about blowing the shit out of hordes of zombies. It never ceases to amaze me how new games can be far inferior to games that came out ages ago, they ahve the benefit of hindsight and a bueprint how to get it right, and they still fuck it up. Unforgiveable. House Of The Dead makes this look like the half assed cop out that it always has been.

Just remember that RE5 is in development, now look at this game and tell me you think Capcom give a shit about UC.

@ zardoz

I believe Capcom have said when you blow off a zombies head, you will see something similar to a geyser of blood. Hmmm, that doesn't seem like paint ball. And if your shots can destroy the enivornment and put bullet holes in the wall...I think you will see what you call "satisfying sense of impact", I mean it is a TEASER trailer.

You would think you would be impressed that they went from 2 or 3 zombies on screen and now looks closer to 20 in certain areas. Of course, nothing is good enough to satisfy, huh?

Wait, after just watching it again, did you watch the SAME trailer as everyone else? You shoot a zombie and they take a step back from the impact! Not only that but a good cup full of blood squirts out of their body from the hit! What trailer did you watch? And after watching a clip to refresh my memory of House of the Dead...yeah they have more blood, green blood, but when you shoot them, they don't stumble back, they keep coming. And I believe you will be able to shoot off body parts in Umbrella Chronicles.

Sounds like a Wii hater/GrafxWh0r3!

Blindside man, don't waste your time, even if the guy is a graphics whore how can you complain about that! It looks incredible. The snake, scorpion and spider enemies look so great, I love the look of these games, seems like there will be just as much polish here as there was in RE4 (of course it would be easier with an on rails game)

but wow- this game looks impressive.

You fucking idiots, can you only function between the inbred mentality of 'critical of presentation = graphic whore'?

I happen to be a graphic artist with a background in interactive design, you have probably experienced some of my work and not even known it.

UC is not a game which has taken the fuction before form approach, it is not going to push existing gameplay or develop a new type of gameplay, it is clearly trying to appeal to gamers who like their dose of eye candy and arcade type thrills, therefore it is not pushing the envelope and so the least can do is deliver a very good version of what has been done many times before, yet it fails at even matching the standards set by previous developers who have worked in this game genre.

If my standards are higher than yours then tough luck, I've given reasons why it looks like shit and I can visualise a much better game, if you can't, then that's your lack of imagination and damp standards.

Oh yeah, I own a fucking Wii and have done work for Nintendo in the past you idiot fucks.

@Blind man dork

Did you even read my post? Your name is very accurate, you are indeed blind. I do not have a problem blood colour for fuck sake, this is all your self made argument. My problem is that their is no feeling of weight, solidity or impact with the enemies. This is a result of bad art direction & design.

You describe how a zombie gets hit, steps back and blood squirts out, yes, that is shit, fucking shit. Every function in a game should be choreographed, this is to let the gamer feel like their actions result in a satisfactory consequences. Since videogames thrive in a constant state of 'hyper reality', and since vieogames rely on kinetic energy, creating a zombie which slightly steps back when you shoot it, and ejaculates a pathetic squirt of badly directed blood, is not good videogame design.

Again I have to say it, you are an idiot.

Yeah it's an on-rails shooter, but really, I think that's great.
The Wii is perfect for rail shooters (much more so than minigames, but please God, don't let the developers start pushing out rail shooter after rail shooter).

Although a Greatest Hits idea like you mentioned would be reallllly cool. I'd totally buy it.

I have no interest in what you want...don't even know you. I'm critical of the game, not what you want. Fucking hell, when are gamers going to realise that a console or a game is not an extension of them or their persoanlity, it's a fucking game, that's all.

Zardoz, I just watched it again, and Im failing to see your gripe. First, its a teaser, so we have quite a small amount to go from. Second, I see people getting shot, and their bodies reacting to the impact. Are you saying that it isn't enough of an impact? You want each bullet to make an explosion on impact? I don't get it. It looks like zombie's getting shot with pistols to me, and you sound like you want it to look like handgun missles.

It's like the people who were bitching about RE before 4 came out. Then all of a sudden loved 4 because of all the hype.

For RE fans who actually fucking played through the others plus 4 only deserve to talk here.

Everyone else who jumped on the RE4 bandwagon need to shut the fuck up and realize this game is going back to it's original story roots, not shooting no class poverty europeans in the head.

But oh wait, that's just America.

I think I'ma have to get back into RE, I guess. I kind of slacked off after RE3, which I never bothered to finish. I did get the GameCube remake of RE1, which was pretty cool, but that's about it. The last truly awesome RE game that I played would probably be Code Veronica for Dreamcast. No RE0 or RE4 for me, at least as of yet. And now this, too, looks fairly interesting. While it doesn't seem like OMG awesomesauce or anything, it could still be fun.
