New Infested Planet vid teases impending final release

6:30 PM on 02.19.2014

Turret defense title Infested Planet has been available on Steam in early access for quite some time now, but it's nearing the conclusion of its development. To acknowledge this, the above trailer has been released to show key features and an overwhelming quantity of swarming alien beasts.

It's been a while since I've played a game in the genre, a fact this video reminded me of. I dig the scale, with five men to position against a hundred thousand invaders. I expect it to be a game that I lose repeatedly. Whether or not victory feels like it could be within my grasp is what will compel me to keep at it, though. Anybody get in on that early access action? Because I think this itch needs a scratch.

Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell leaves no deadly sin unchecked

Johnny Gat's not a good man. Powerful, but not good. That's why he uses each and every of the seven deadly sins to send all of those already dead to the after-afterlife. Most of them look like they deserve it, to be fair. Especially those nipple-rubbing demons.more

Hotline Miami 2 might not be done until early 2015

Hearing that Dennaton Games is taking more time to polish up Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number -- it's now looking like late 2014 or early 2015 -- sits well with me. Totally okay with waiting. I know that should be the default r...more

Geometry Wars 3 releasing in late November

I didn't want to stop playing Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions at PAX Prime. Part of that was due to the years-long gap since the last one released, admittedly, but more importantly the game ended up being a lot of fun. There's no...more
