New images from PSP fog simulator, Silent Hill Origins

If Orcist was underwhelmed with the recent videos of the upcoming PlayStation Portable title, Silent Hill Origins, wait until he gets a load of these.

These new screenshots of the upcoming prequel prove that even though the game isn't being handled by Team Silent, this game looks like a Silent Hill title. Foggy and dirty, with an over the top atmosphere, Silent Hill Origins seems to be on the right track to smearing underpants across the world.

But how hard can it be? The Silent Hill formula seems simple enough. Place a seemingly ordinary Joe (or Jane) into a desolate town, liberally apply fog effects, and add a dash of undead nurses wearing high heels to the mix. Check, check, and check.

Silent Hill Origins is slated for an August release.
