"She Bangs the Drums," as made famous by The Stone Roses, was unveiled as a new playable Guitar Hero III song yesterday during an exclusive hour-long screening at Edinburgh Interactive Festival. The song comes off of the 1989 self-titled The Stone Roses album, a record which had (and has) the British music press creaming all over themselves.
This was the first time members of the British public were able to get their hands on the game, witnessing first hand the new boss battles, as well as multiplayer modes. Zach Fountain, General Manager of RedOctane Europe says the rock is not going to stop here.
"The Guitar Hero franchise has already established itself as part of mainstream pop culture," he says, "so it was a perfect place to unveil one of our UK-originated songs. The Guitar Hero road show moves from here to Leipzig, where we'll be announcing a whole new stack of European songs for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock."
With an already solid (and surprising) track list, it'll be interesting to see what RedOctane pulls out of their hat at this year's Games Convention.

I wanna play "Gay Bar" by Electric Six. :D
I wanna play "Dance Commander" by Electric Six. :D
actually that might make more sense for rock band cuz it has great drums, bass, and singing too.
I couldn't believe my eyes! Knights of Cydonia? Fuck it I'm preordering now!
Personally, I think it needs more Wolfmother - maybe "Love Train" or "Where Eagles Have Been".
Yeah, they'd be first or second-tier songs, but who cares? Wolfmother rocks.
Oh man this could only get better if it was Fool's Gold...
Goddamn "As made famous by"!
