The game better be fun with varied missions. San Andreas was so revered because it had so many types of missions, the funny dialog, fun, epicly large map to explore. They should try to aim higher with this one.

Fun is different things to different people I guess. The simplistic handling of games like Saints literally has me nodding off since GTAIV released and since getting a gaming PC I've played real driving sims that make me wanna puke at the thought of a game like Forza, let alone Mario kart.

So glad to see bicycles coming back. That was honestly one of my favorite parts of San Andreas, biking up and down Mt. Chiliad.

Gta4's driving mechanics come closer to those of a driving sim than any other sandbox game out there. If theres one thing that ruins my immersion in a game, it's ridiculous arcade driving where cars hit top speed in 10 seconds and you use a parking brake to male turns... Shit's completely retarded. Make a car handle like an irl car imo, not some goofy physics-warping hover craft.

honestly i did like the driving in GTA4, i just like arcade style driving better. i also like realism and great physics etc in games, but realistic driving without having the tight control you get in a real car makes it pointless to me - especially when it's still almost impossible to make a trip without killing several pedestrians etc. not what i'd personally call "realistic".

Wow, I'm extremely disappointed with the comments here regarding driving. Saints Row 3 had better driving? WTF, stupidest thing I've ever heard. SR3 cars didn't have handling so much as they followed direction. There was absolutely zero sense that the cars had any connection to the road. GTAIV was great, you'd understeer when driving a FWD car, be more prone to oversteer with a RWD. The sense of speed was great, and cars weren't responsive to the point of being no fun whatsoever.
Where is the fun in a car chase if you can't mess up and spin out into a wall? I'm not expecting a sim here, but there should be some sense of weight, speed, traction, control, ect. Cars should be grounded in the game world, not a separate entity.

Meh, hopefully it's just fun. I think it was an objectively good game, nice graphics, average controls, fun mob story that felt to similar, but at the end of the day the game was no fun to play.
What I hate about these games is they are so popular that you get a bunch of people, who usually only play one genre, to play them. This in turn lets them bitch about the driving like there was something wrong with it and not them. I'm excited for this game and I'm sure it'll be amazing. I'm not excited for the entire internet missing the fucking point and bitching.

I don't really care how the game looks like, if it plays like rotten shit then forget my greens. San Andreas looked like crap but still it was way more fun and still is even today while GTA4 and it's DLCs are useless garbage, especially on the PC. Since 2008 I changed so many PCs and even today with all these high-end PCs can't run GTA4 (+dlc) properly, just no fun at all. I know I am not buying GTA5, not doing the same mistake as with 4, sold all that garbage. First I'm going to test it and after finishing the game I will see if I want to own it or not. I am sick of spending money on stupid games.
