Rockstar has released a new trailer for its imminent controversy fodder, Grand Theft Auto IV. The new trailer, Looking for the special someone, shows some more details of our European hero's search for his missing family member in Liberty City. It looks fantastic and pretty damn intriguing, possibly the most story driven GTA yet? Judging by this trailer, it certainly seems like the plot will be an epic one.
Watch, enjoy, and bask in the knowledge that no matter how accomplished it may be, no matter how grand its scale, nor how well crafted its story, all some people will care about is how much shooting there is.

Hm, it seems to run about 20 frames a second, which is a shame. Hopefully this is unoptimised code. Mind you, the others were a bit ropey in that regard, and that didn't cause too much heartache. I must say, I'm less excited now than before. Still going to pick up a copy though, who really is able to form an opinion on a whole product from its trailer, after all.
still trying to see it... stupid WMV file keeps lagging EVEN after download... everyone and their mothers is watching this. Let's try these extra links...
I got my HD trailer fine. I just have to say: Where the fuck is all the colour? Seriously, this is pretty much what GTA3 would look like if it was made by Epic or something.
Trailer's up and running again guys, had to switch it for another since it seems where we were getting it from got raped in some fashion. Hopefully it's better quality than some other people were seeing, too.
that game is going to rule, but who else here thinks that this whole ratings fiasco will transfer over to this game as well, giving rockstar more headaches?
You learn something new every day. I apparently have no short term memory because I never remembered saying anything about zombie chicks until I saw my post again. That was funny. Sad part was that the zombie chick gave me necrotizing fasciitis. Last time I'll screw a dead chick.
Well, GTA pretties aside, I was ready for a gameplay video yesterday. I had every confidence in the world that there'd be characters standing around and talking, advancing the story and whatnot. I want game play. Rockstar, care to whip one of those up for us so we'll know what we'll ACTUALLY be doing 90% of the time?
Well, actually Mr. Sterling, since Rockstar tells us we'll no longer enjoy running over innocent pedestrians, I would like to know what we'll be doing 90% of the time, as well.
I mean, if they just made it more gruesome and realistic, they must not know their fan base at all.
If they have ridiculous measures to prevent you from going on amazing, physics destroying killing sprees, I'm out.
That was a nice trailer. I gotta admit that I'm psyched for this game(even if I have neither a PS3 or 360) even though the only other GTA game I liked was Vice City(and that was because the story was basically rippedoff of Scarface). I really hope the story isn't second fiddle to everything in this one.
I also gotta admit that I was hoping to see some random NPC in the city and how they interact and such. I mean, they are suppose to act more realistically this time, right? I wanna see NPCs having random conversations, and not all in the same 5-6 voices as in TES4:Oblivion.
Woah, did anyone else know they were releasing free gamerpics and a free theme with these too? They are on the Marketplace. I'm gonna look like a twat if that's already been posted, but I'm not scrolling up.

I guess I still just don't like GTA games and think they are boring.

1) The game looks to be extremely story based. I'm hard.
2) Cops seem to actually use some sort of cover tactics, not just stand in the middle of the road and shoot. Getting harder.
3) ZOMG YOU CAN HANG OFF THE BACK OF A FUCKING TRUCK WHILE IT'S MOVING? CAME! CAME! CAME!
You guys have no idea how excited I am about this game.
GRRRRRRRR
Does someone want to take my viewing from it? I didn't need it, wasn't worth it so feel free to use mine.
pay this maaayeeen his mahhhhhney.
(are gonna rape the film industry this holiday)
Speaking of the film industry, how can they release shit like Hostel and Turista, but Mancunt 2 gets the axe?
I'm sorry you have those problems Snail, but I'm always ready for round 2 ;)
Nice Rounders reference man haha:)
@ Snaileb - Dont encourage him
@GTA4- do wanting badly
I relish it.
RichardBlock I fully support the habit of masturbating to games. Except it creeps me out when Tazar gets ahold of trailers like Poniez and Bratz.
I will also fully endorse the practice when Hentai games come out fo the wii, with the vibrating penis cover periphial.
Think MS will have it up on XBL today like with the 1st trailer?
Also, cocks.
amazing trailer rockstar. only negative-1min long?!?! come on i need more!!
Holy crap. D'toid has a search tool.

You need them to TELL you?
I mean, if they just made it more gruesome and realistic, they must not know their fan base at all.
If they have ridiculous measures to prevent you from going on amazing, physics destroying killing sprees, I'm out.

I am excited about that, as well.
No, just that we apparently won't enjoy it anymore.
I don't think I'll ever forget. I didn't just say that dew came out of my nose, I actually lived it.
PM me and I'll send you photos of me screwing the dead chick.
You know you wanna see 'em. I couldn't stay long though, the viewing was only for an hour.
So, now that there are probably hundreds of games like that, does the average guy really care about this game?
I'm half expecting it to get the same reception Street Fighter 3 or Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness got.
