I adore gears. I will buy this.
ALso. To the negative nancys on site right now who are clearly experts I say this. I highly doubt it will be a kinect game, epic were working on a kinect gears but they shit canned it. Although why you would be bothered when you wont buy it either way is a mystery to me.

This increases the likely hood for the 720 being at E3 by a laaaaaaarge margin. I just can't see Gears of War 4 running on UE3, and there's no way in hell the 360 can run anything UE4 related.
I bet that they will just throw characters into the game from the books and not even try to explain who they are.
Think that maybe just maybe they can get the online portion of this game to actually work? Gears 3 worked just fine till they fractured the fuck out of the player base by implementing their DLC in a shitty fashion. That or UE3 just sucks ass for online games, as Gears is the worst online multiplayer, even though it's my favorite.
As someone who still plays Gears 3... I feel this is too soon. I am only like 10% of the way to getting the Seriously 3 achievement. But even though I was not expecting this announcement, and I'm not even sure I would want a Gears 4, I feel like I have to say this anyway: Fuck the Haters! I'm excited to find out what this is.

Logicly i would think the game ends with him jailed tho (unless they set an entire game with him shanking people all day) So perhaps there will be some pendelum war action in the begining. Would be intresting to see what the opposite faction looked like

Just as long as Epic further refines the multiplayer, I'm on board. While it can be annoying how grimdark and po-faced this game series can be, it's far too hilarious for me to want them to stop.

Wait, what? Didn't Gears 3 just come out last year? Another one is coming out this year? Since when was this an annual franchise? Why would Microsoft put the next Gears against Halo 4?
If the game isn't coming out this year, that means Microsoft is announcing the game around E3 without actually putting it in their press conference, because they never show anything from the following year in their incredibly short 90 minute press conference other than 30 second teaser trailers. Either way, it's a PR nightmare. Shouldn't have waited until E3 was over.

If this Gears game has a good story, believable characters, more women that aren't forced to live in maternity wards, and maybe some gay inclusion, I'd be open to buy it.

Fair enough, I got a reasonable amount of good times out of Gears 3, and it feels like the 360 is light as fuck on disc exclusives these days.

A new next-gen GoW on a new engine is what I really want to see. In my opinion the GoW franchise is no worse than the average game as far as the writing goes. Don't really see where all the hate comes from.

I'll be playing. There are very few shooters that play as well as Gears. It's worth it just for the pitch-perfect mechanics.
