This video has moved! Try our new Destructoid HD video section

Late last year, we were drawn in by the announcement and accompanying images of a new Namco Bandai Wii RPG called Fragile ~ Sayonara Tsuki no Haikyo. We were even more impressed when a teaser trailer dropped this year, but this new promotional video seals the deal: we want this game.

The Japanese Fragile Web page has added the new promo video you see above. This is a Wii game? Wow. The colors in the twilight sky, shadows, and lighting are all very impressive. And that music? Amazing. The scene where birds fly by while the protagonist is walking totally wins me over.

We can't wait to see more of this "ruin exploration" RPG. Hopefully TGS will bring about new information next month. For now, check out the official Web page, which also features some new details and images on the game play system (fourth tab from the left).

What do you think of this so far? Does this look like something you'd play?

Very cool looking game and a joy to see from NB. It has a very Baroque feel to it, though I hope is much better than that game.

I can see them translating this for the west, becuase it seems unique and the kind of game Wii needs.

Damn, I have to bag a Wii.

I just came. Twice. Into a bucket.

I'm off to the sperm donor clinic so I can afford this game when it's released. Later dudes.

Oh you're right, we DO want this game!

Can't help but fear it'd be something that never crosses the ocean--and I hope the game plays as good as it looks

So you just wander around and look at things? And you're not constantly attacked by zombies or monsters? HERESY!

I'm usually looking forward to quality Wii titles, and I like a 'different' style of game whenever possible, but this just looks as bland as can be.

Wow, I actually remember hearing about this game. I think I was interested. I am still am.

Now I have 5 reasons to get a Wii.

I do hope that this game is almost entirely exploration. Games almost always puss out of that concept.

I'm just curious, but exactly how does Fragile...from this and the previous trailer...look "bland" and "crappy"? Please explain?

Glad I got a Wii when I did. This game's been on my radar for a while now. Looks interesting, to say the least. But I got a feeling it'll pull a Zack and Wiki and flop from a sales standpoint.

I hope it comes to the US, then maybe I can stop using my Wii just to work out.

@ Gen Eric Gul and everybody who's frothing at the mouth for this game: 'MEH.'

From the 5 seconds of gameplay we were allowed to see: it looks very 'Rule of Rose-ish', except with cute, cuddly characters at the helm.

with this, the conduit, mad world and fatal frame I'm starting to think that 3rd parties are finally starting to take the wii seriously. This gives me hope for the future of the Wii.

The Wii needs more games with beautiful art like this. I think this game will be fun.

i wouldn't go so far as "beautiful", but it's certainly intriguing.

It looks beautiful and the environment they have created certainly could support an exploration focused design. That said, I'd like a bit more information on the gameplay.
