If you are like the majority of gamers who shun anything resembling a spoiler, then you are going to want to skip this video -- however overpowering the impulse to watch it may be.
Those of you willing to throw caution to the wind will find some pretty interesting plot points to the game, including some background information on Vader's apprentice that is pretty much guaranteed to take you by surprise. Is it any wonder that I chose this as the most anticipated game for 2008? I think not.
Good... I can feel your anticipation. Hit the play button, and your transformation will be complete. Just keep in mind that once you are among the spoiled, you can never go back. Muh ha-ha-hah!
Now those were some serious spoilers, and they basically showed everything in the game besides the final cutscene after the end boss. Amazing looking game, though.
When I was a kid, playing those sorry excuses for Star Wars games (Except TIE Fighter which was the bomb), I dreamed up this game. I said to my friends at the time, "I want a game where you can be the bad guy, like Darth Vader, and just kick some serious butt with your lightsaber and the force. Why can't they make that?"
Lucasarts, that kid is still alive and well inside me, and it is very, very happy.
Looks like the delay was worth it! September can't come soon enough.

I'm only worried about spoilers when it's of games with plot. [/i]
Games with plot? You think "Star Wars" lacks plot? ...fool.
Don't be such spoiler-babies. This is a pretty sweet video. From a player's standpoint, this looks pretty fun. Force powers are f'n sweet. I miss Jedi Knight... Must re-install....
Alright, that was hot. And not the general origin I expected for the apprentice . . . though I could be right, and they could really do something super-special if they go where I REALLY think they should go. To tie some of the mysteries from the prequel trilogy together . . .
@Aetyr: They're freaking fascinating. They're so bad ass that there can't be more than two of them in known existance of each other at once, because history has proven that two of them will gang up on the third. That's fucking harsh!
Does he? Maybe he becomes a Jedi and renounces the Sith? Maybe he escapes and ends up roaming the galaxy until after ROTJ making him the last Sith? Maybe he joins the rebellion? Maybe he goes to Yavin 4 and ends up discovering the spirit of Exar Kun? Maybe he gets a sex change and becomes Mara Jade?
Man that video made me feel like i was 10 again, yay for receding 9 years XD
Also, @Technophile
They have some pretty high tech medical stuff around in that star wars universe, I think you could be on to something! If thick blueish goo can heal all wounds, I'm pretty sure they have some other goo (maybe greenish?) that can make him a woman, Starkiller = Mara Jade lol.
I guess all of these videos are stuffed with marketing-speak, but I found it particularly obnoxious here.
If this game had no connection to Star Wars, I'd probably be interested. I almost fell out of my chair when the baby takes Vader's sword. It was just so damn silly. Especially with that weird Polar Express puppet look.
also, the spoilers weren't that spoiler-ish. they only revealed pretty much what we already knew. darth vader has a secret apprentice that not even the emperor knows about. they only spoiled where he was found by vader.
I think the pre-teen leia in the series is cool- it would be awesome if you could play her going to the mall and hanging out with her friends... maybe that would be an expansion
but seriously I can't wait for this, and the spoilers were awesome- I am going to end up spending many hours onthe different platform versions of this....
Why is everyone so upity-up about spoilers? What si told in this video is the main point of the story yes, but the way it sounds, it could probably be given away on the back of the game box. They don't go into that much detail at all.
I for one will be getting this on the 360 for sure, and probably the Wii after a price drop, as I heard that the story would be different, and well, obviously the controls as well.
Trying to tie up the gap between 3 and 4 is most appealing. I wish they would have focused on that more and the actual players in 4 rather than some secret apprentice. The apprentice aspect seems like a let down and waste to me.
I love the concept of this game, but it makes me wonder why Vader never showed off these kind of force abilities in the the original trilogy. Aahh, what might've been...
