The latest trailer for Far Cry 2 gives us a little insight to the game's storyline. There's an arms dealer named the Jackal and it looks like you're trying to hunt him down. The trailer shows off a variety of guns that you'll be using to take on enemies and set things on fire. The big selling point of this game seems to be the burnable environments and lots of fire is shown off in this trailer.
Starting today at 10PM Pacific, Ubidays 2008 in Paris will be sharing tons of new information on their upcoming games. Ubisoft actually held Ubidays in America a couple of weeks back and I was at this event to try out a bunch of their games, including Far Cry 2. Be on the lookout, as I'll have several hands-on pieces going up starting at 10PM mixed in with any new info coming out from Ubidays Paris.
I can't wait to share with you all the new diary game for the Nintendo DS!!!
This looks like the game I'm hoping Resident Evil 5 will be. More Djimon Hounsou and less Leonardo DiCaprio. I can't wait for Afrika, too. I'm so glad African settings are "in" these days.
The game looks bad, I guess that is the first thing they cut with a lower budget Crysis level graphic engines and if they are using crysis engine that is bad.
Ubisoft is sorta confused at what a "True Sequel" means. According to their website FAQ about Far Cry 2, soon after claiming it's the True Sequel to Far Cry 1, they say:
No Trigens or mad scientist.
No feral abilities
No Jack Carver
So, basically everything that made Far Cry - Far Cry.
I think game companies have really gone completely retarded as to what people want out of a sequel, this is just like FEAR 2.
What if Bioshock 2 left out any mention of Rapture, Plasmids, and Big Daddies?
Sorry couldn't resist, what with the game looking similar to RE5, but notice how there were no Africans except for that one brief shot. No one died in the explosions (for all we know the enemy is Asian.)
I'm interested... in the 360 port. (I relish your groans, PC fags!) I have a huge soft spot for Africa, so I love the idea of playing games set there. Hopefully it'll be good.
Playing Flying Wild Hog's new take on Shadow Warrior last week at E3 was unexpectedly awesome. It was refreshing, which is an odd comment to make about a game that is decidedly old-school. Slicing apart dudes and demons, it t...
During E3, Call of Duty: Ghosts producer Mark Rubin told GameSpot that there would probably be a Wii U port. "We want to keep it mysterious," he said at the time. Fast-forward to now, and he's followed up with GamesIndustry I...

Takedown: Red Sabre should make tactical first-person shooter players happy. I'm not one, I've come to realize, but I gave it my best during a demonstration of this squad-based PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 game from S...
The original Shadow Warrior escaped me completely. History won't repeat itself with the remake in development at Flying Wild Hog (Hard Reset) -- not after some hands-on time with the first-person shooter at E3. The game ...

The dawn of the next-generation of gaming is upon us, and if Battlefield 4 is any indication, multiplayer won't differ too much with the changing of the guard. Not yet anyway. That'll probably work just fine for fans of...
Payday 2 feels like one of the most ambitious sequels in recent memory. I was a fan of Payday: The Heist, which in and of itself is high praise. Normally I can't be bothered to play online multiplayer and I've had first-perso...
