I’m a big fan of anything involving the sparking and utilization of fire. While
Alone in the Dark was a huge disappointment considering its rampant usage of my weapon of choice,
Far Cry 2 has revitalized me. The new batch of screens coming from Leipzig are a sight for sore eyes, but most importantly, they show off some of the map editor for the PC version of the game. I know FPS nerds love to place boxes and canisters where they weren’t previously, so feel free to drool.
Far Cry 2 is utilizing the Dunia Engine, which is a special engine designed to allow players to really experience fiery explosions, time cycles, storm effects, and non-scripted AI. Other than fire, the game is boasting a completely open world to interact with via missions or horseplay. Our own Hamza wrote an excellent preview of the game when he got to touch it on Ubidays this year. Take the time to
check it out if you’re curious as to how the title runs.
Otherwise, enjoy the screens below and look forward to the games release this year on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
holy damn.
If only there was a platform that came with a mouse keyboard where every FPS came with a map editor...
Just think games like unreal tournement 3 and call of duty 4 would have map edditors, and maybe even orange box!
OH wait what every FPS on platform called the PC already does that?
well never mind then!
Well ambye not these screens but the game is still on console.
