New EVE Online: Incursion trailer brings the zombie ships

The crazy people that reside in EVE Online's CG rendering department sure know how to churn out a dramatic trailer, but you didn't quite see that last time, since it the task at hand was to promote the game itself, and not its backstory junk. For stuff like that, you want to see the stuff they put out for the game's periodic expansions.

And here's the latest one, promoting the Incursion expansion which, among other things, aims to beef up the game's co-operative, player-vs.-environment aspect considerably. Because, y'know, not everyone's in it for the cutthroat corporate maneuverings.

How do they do that, you ask? Zombies. Yes, there are now zombies in Eve Online. Sure, they're not called "zombies" per se, but a quick look-see on the new AI-controlled invader faction, Sansha's Nation, reveals that most of the faction's scary warships are crewed by "True Slaves", which are "zombie-like creatures" controlled by brain implants.

So yes, expect your hard-earned spaceships to be blown up by them zambees sometime soon, as the expansion's changes are rolled out over the next few months.

Anyone up for this? I've already given the trailer extra points for using the phrase "commute your flesh", so that's a positive endorsement in my book.
