Perhaps this will be the game to get me back into the series.
@DinnertimeNinja I don't think this is the one to get anyone 'back' into the series, but consider my bias above. If you played the Tales of Destiny entries on the PSX, that's basically as far as the series evolved, as far as I'm concerned. But if you can get past the cliche, and some of the questionable voice acting, it would be a good purchase if you can find at say $40 or less.
And Atari will never confirm if the PS3 version is coming to. I already have two Eternal Sonata(s) I don't need yet another copy of (almost) the same game again.
It hasn't even been given the chance to be cheap, deal of the week stuff over here, before an upgrade is due. I'll probably stake out for it longer, and I'll get the PS3 one now..
You're referring to Xbox fans. There's a difference.
Since Sony ordered a "cease and desist" order to import sites that led to one of the major site to shut down. No store in the US delivers to Europe games for any Sony console.
EggmaniMN: Is it really a dumb move not to bring over some that probably won't make that much money?
I don't really think I care about the new artes, since its hard enough to manage the ones I already have and I'm only about halfway through the game (from what I've heard).
I am curious as to how the new character will be incorporated. The story seems complete enough with the current character list, so I wonder if any plotline changes will be introduced. And tthey could have at least picked a better character than another little kid. We already have one in the game. I didn't need the complete Palom/Porom ripoff that exists in every JRPG.
New Giganto monster and Dungeon could be interesting, but def not worth a repurchase. I'd buy it as DLC.
So I guess all things considered, not really a "must buy".
A voice actor was been quoted saying the new script for all of the new dialogue is almost as long as what they had to record for the original version! It really seems it will be fully voiced.
@Miguerlcar808
Since its being released in September 2009 in Japan, I think it will have trophy support. Also, it is being released in Europe in a few days. It is showing up on sites like ABGX.
Eternal Sonata PS3 came out here, and that did worse sales wise & critically on 360.
Plus I don't care for DLC so it should be a good purchase.
I liked the story and characters in Legendia best and am playing through the Character quests again.
This game should rock on the PS3! Even better if it's fully voiced!
Still, I'd much rather get a PS3 version with more content and play-time with a quieter fan xD
@coffeesash : Install it. It makes the fan shut up.
