Good evening, Destructoid viewers, and welcome to the - wait for it - 69th episode of the Destructoid show. Expect to get quite the bang for your buck today, because we've got a bevy of news waiting for you.
First and foremost, Duke Nukem: Forever has been delayed. And in other news that isn't completely unsurprising, the 3DS launches this weekend and GameStop is going all out. Also, expect some new Resident Evil games later this year, X-men: Destiny ruffles Max's feathers, and Valve once again proves itself to be an all-around terrific company.
Have a safe and happy weekend, everyone! Oh, and tell your mom I said hi.

Correction: Attributing Socom to Slant Six is misleading.
The creators of the series are Zipper Interactive, who have made 7 of the 10 games in the series.
Slant Six has worked on Socom Tactical Strike and Socom Fireteam Bravo 3 for the PSP and the Online only Socom Confrontation on the PS3
It is a bit like attributing the entire Zelda series to Phillips because they developed those horrible CD-i games, though admittedly Slant Sixes entires in the Socom series were not quite that horrible.. just not as good as the Zipper games.
What 20 people? I was the only one who mentioned Merry Gear Solid in the cooments! Just like I was the only one who noticed that red eyed monstrosity residing above your LCD on Monday! (I'm still convinced it's a robot sent out by Taras Mom to make sure she tucks in her gut at every show)
Oh, and since Tara is woman Max should have said "Ma" cherry instead of "Mon". Unless...
ANYWAY, even with all that, this was a great show as usual.
Oh, and "Surge" was seen in leaked screenshots of a very early build of the Xmen: Destiny back in January but has since never been confirmed by Activision or Scilicin Knights as an actual character for the game.
So I guess there might be some hope for that game. Nothing that helps First Class seem less like a pile of shit though.
I couldn't agree more with your assessment of X-Men Destiny so far. Instead of making it an awesome squad based X-Men game like the first X-Men Legends game allowing you to pick your team of favourite X-Men from a large roster of characters, or giving the option to create your own character and history they took option 3 of offering us douchebag characters that we're stuck playing. It puzzles me how they didn't go the Mass Effect route to making a good action RPG.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

Great show as usual... I love corny jokes though, so keep them coming!
