New Destructoid Episode: F*ck it, we did it live!

12:03 AM on 07.23.2011

Phew, sorry I had to break out the overused meme, guys. I'm just exhausted after a long day of live streaming the Destructoid show. It truly was a festival of horrors!

In case you missed it, we discussed how Google Games is a thing that is most likely happening, Activision is resurrecting the Guitar Hero franchise, Freddy Krueger is making his debut in Mortal Kombat's August 9th DLC, and Bethesda's Pete Hines thinks that forced multiplayer options in games with little to show for themselves are a complete waste of time. I think most of us can probably agree with that. Last but not least, Max presents us with some outlandish Saints Row 3 news and a rather ridiculous new trailer.

Thanks again for everyone who watched, and a hearty congratulations to those of you lucky enough to win one of the ten Limbo codes we gave away for PSN. If you caught the live show, please give us some feedback! The folks over at Revision3 are testing some new live streaming software, and we'd like to know if it enhanced your streaming experience.

Activision closing down mobile studio The Blast Furnace

The Blast Furnace was Activision's mobile studio based out of the UK, where they made Call of Duty: Strike Team, Pitfall, and Wipeout. Their mobile plans evidently didn't pan out as they had hoped, as the studio will be closi...more
