THQ has unleashed a hot new trailer for Darksiders upon the world and it looks pretty damn good. It seems that this game has been consistently looking bigger and better as time goes on, and one can only assume that's a good thing.

With Mark Hamill joining the voice cast, a rather unique story, and plenty of mindless violence featuring impossibly proportioned meatheads with ludicrously huge swords, this should be a great game to kick off the new year with. We shall of course have to wait for the final product to be sure of that, but I've got my fingers crossed for a hot one.

Was that an August 1, 2010 release date and the end?

I thought it was a January 5, 2010 that it came out...

@ Dred Priest

I think they went date/month/year instead of month/date/year. So release is 8th of January, 2010.

Also, I just came in my pants. This looks too fun. Do want, very much.

Oh, I really didn't like that. The swelling staccato violin and movie trailer music? I don't enjoy when games tried to imitate film, and it bothers me most with trailers. When this kind of this happens, I feel like games are leave the faithful behind in favour of the masses.

Luckily, this sentiment is limited to the cinematic portions of Darksiders. It still looks like an amazing action-RPG hybrid that I'm dying to try. I'm just saying this trailer damaged my impression rather than say IGN's Video Preview which turned me on to Darksiders. I don't suppose anyone is with me?
