The new Dante’s Inferno dev diary shows us the oh so sexy second layer of hell known as Lust. We get to see what the environments look like and what it could of have looked like. One thing that I love seeing is concept art and I enjoy seeing the really f**ked up character designs that almost were.
At the 3:37 mark, you’ll see a fat ugly looking creature that Dante rips apart. Of all the enemies I’ve seen so far, she’s my favorite. Her attacks consist of her throwing up and sh*tting at you. Yes, really. Get behind her, and she sh*ts out acid poop. There is also blood mixed in with her poop attack. Gross!
Hit the break to check out the latest dev diary. What do you all think?
Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Why are they putting so much effort on this game ? They just need to put the two chicks on the cover kissing and they could put Minesweeper on the disk, it would still sell like hell (see what I did there?)
I originally wasnt very interest in the game, kind of dismissing it as a cheap God of War rip off but the more i see, the more im pretty sure ill be picking it up.
First there was the Infamous VS Prototype thing....everyone saying Prototype and Infamous were the same thing...with some saying Prototype was ripping-off Infamous....well...that's BS...
And again...for the ones saying Dante's Inferno looks like a God Of War ripp off...well...think again...
Holy crap (pardon the pun) I had no idea it was this amazing looking! Is this really the company so risk adverse they used the same gfx engine for 3 full generations of EA sports titles coming out with this??
I really hope this game doesn't get neutered by our friends at the ESRBitches. If they're really going for the visceral adaptation that Dante's writing would deserve, well let's just hope that they do it well and thoughtfully like they said they are.
I have an urge, partly immature, to clear up your sentence and thus your question. Are you asking if that was a man eating vagina or are you asking man-eating vagina? cause those are two very different things.
I am a huge barlowe fan so now I REALLY want this game, I still have my absolutely falling apart copy of "wayne barlowe's guide to extra-terrestrials" that I use to literally have with me all of the time in my backpack when I was a kid in case I needed to whip it out at any given time.
First of all, that image...
Talk about your all time "back fire (but in a good way)." ^_^
Second, the jump. I just soiled myself (it was that good to watch)! If that's the realm of Gaming Hell I'mma sin till I drop into the @^^ crack-bowels of those Digital infernal Depths because THAT is my idea of heaven. 40 virgins cannot top the power to mangle (figuratively), shred and the PWNing of your enemies. Sweet, sweet violence.
After all, who needs anger management/therapy when you can take out all your frustrations & boredom on monsters literally larger than life? Also, this will build some control over the "up-chuck reflex" for those of you with soft stomachs. The game looks to have an interesting amount of gore and guts. Seems like the perfect game for carnivores, who knows... it might even convert some vegetarians and ppl who are uptight about the game's context. Or perhaps such violence is an acquired taste. I've but one thing to sum up what I have to say about the glimpses of this game....
Diehard Dante + Diabolical Looking Demons = delectable (same as my opinion of DMC). Also it makes me nostalgic of Todd McFarlane's and Ben Templesmith's comics.
I don't know much about this game? Is it a 360 exclusive?
As far as my comment is concerned I do see a God of War influence and there is nothing wrong with that. That development art is amazing, and I am actual very surprised that EA is attaching their name to it. I'm always glad to see big publishers taking a risk and releasing a new IP. The dev diaries are also a nice touch. Its always interesting to hear from the people working on a game. Its like....hmmmm....lets make a game based on Dantes Inferno....uggggghhhh...where do we start.
You know, I'm fairly sure that circle of hell - the lust circle - had only souls were really, really wanted to fuck, but couldn't. It was an eternity of sexual frustration, right? Not far off from a life of WoW.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

I see you've met my wife then.
D*mn Dawg! LMAO.
@Dtoid Editors
That there is comment of the week Material!
Those two chicks working on the game are kinda hot.
Who wants to pound me in the ass while our skin slowly combines together and we become one being?
I'm an owner.
Gameplay wise, Dante's is an exact ripoff of God of War, down to some of the weapon combos and exact slow-motion attacks.
Locale/design wise, I think it's vastly superior.
I concur.

everyone else may now commence giggling.
