A brand new video showcasing some actual Crysis gameplay was just released and it's looking mighty fine. You might even say that it's drop dead gorgeous. One things for sure, PC gaming won't be dying anytime soon with exclusive games like Crysis.

I don't think that it would be very fair of you to call us dicks. You made mention of the gameplay which I agree is a perfect element for escapist fantasy, but we were mostly talking about the graphical quality of the game being too realistic.

Why is it everyone thinks even a half-decent PC cost $2000? Maybe, if your dumb enough to blow $500 on the latest video card. But you know it's just an overclocked version of a $150 card, with more memory.

For $800 you can get a PC that will run just about everything on the market. Sure that is still more than a PS3 or X360, but you can get a hell of a lot more out of that PC.

I do a major upgrade every 3-4 years, and inbetween I can take advantage of the crazy drop in Memory prices and buy more RAM to help things a long.

Anyone who says you gotta drop $2000 every 6 months to keep up to date is crazy.

I know this is stupid, but isn't anyone else noticing the low-res ground? Whatever happened to the notion of rendering blades of grass? As lush as the surroundings may be (though those plants start to look pretty 2D-ugly up clode) you're still playing on a flat floor.

if your card has a fan your in luck, the difference in the 7600 series of cards is clock speed, so if you google a program called coolbits and do a bit of research on it you may be able to overclock it a decent amount a squueze some more performance out of it. and if all else just lower your in game resolution,i run most of my games at 1024x768 cus my computer loses those extra frames that make it smooth when i switch to 1280x1024
