Capcom may not be the titan of 2D artwork that they were in the 90's and 00's, but the legacy of their past illustration focus lives on at Udon. The studio is responsible for the most (and arguably the best) hand-drawn Capcom artwork released in the past few years. Everything from the re-drawn characters of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD, to the endings of Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, to any number of Street Fighter and Darkstalkers-based comics currently on the market; Udon's has proven their love and dedication to Capcom time and time again.
These guys got into drawing thanks to "Mooks" like Capcom Illustrations (a book that I read so much as a teenager that literally wore out the binding) so it makes sense that their putting out their own Capcom art books today. If you want to learn to drawn the Udon way, get a closer look at the art that's gone into Udon's many comics and games, and want to see how awesome Super Street Fighter IV would have looked with (gasp!) sprite-based graphics, then you have to buy this book.
I know I will.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
But I always thought Capcom was pretty good with teh arts
there the same person, just split apart each one holds a fraction of each others power
Delicious News Mr Holmes
@ KingSigy- I usually like everything that Udon puts out, but I agree that some of their artists are better than others.
