There's a reason why I hired a sports writer for Destructoid. It's because Brett Favre is not a goblin. It looks like Blood Bowl -- scheduled for a Xbox 360, PC, Nintendo DS, and PlayStation Portable release -- is set to address that.
The game is based on the board game of the same name, which resident table top enthusiast Conrad Zimmerman says he played "ten f**king years ago." My response, of course, was that I don't play those kinds of games. Tables, I told him, are for placing lamps on. Tables are for eating dinner on.
"How uncivilized," he remarked, "I eat my dinner on a plate."
OK, he got me there, that smart bastard. But that doesn't change the fact that I'm looking forward to the digital version of Blood Bowl, scheduled to drop later this year.
too bad this isn't a new Mutant League Football. i'd kill for a new sequel to that game. ripping teams in half, and killing refs... oh, the good ol' days.
I think this is essentially games workshop saying "well hell, Warhammer as an MMO worked. 40k as an RTS DEFINITELY worked. What the hell, what other miniatures games can we convert into videogame cash cows?"
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
This could be pretty good, but like Blindside said, in game footage is needed
Here you go.
