BB CSII came out for the PSP and the DS. CS Extend was scheduled for the Vita and was released.

while i love that they're still making tons of content for the franchise, shouldn't they slow down a bit??

oh well i'll probably buy it anyways since we rarely have these kind of games. though i want the latest Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code version to appear on consoles, a new Guilty Gear etc.

So, Capcom gets poop flinging for releasing Super Street Fighter IV at reduced price then Arcade Editiion as DLC AND reduced price, yet, ARC can release a Blazblue every year with little to no new things at full price and no one say a word?

At least it's the first proper sequel in what? 2 years? Extend is like Capcom tacking on Ultimate to MvC3.

@LReiviN this isn't a GotY edition like Extend. this will be a direct continuation to the story. the setting is in a new location with all new stages, new tracks, some characters are having their sprites redone, it looks like the gameplay is being modified as well, there's no guard primers and the special bar is being split into quarters rather than at a 50-50.

CS was a sequel, CSII was given via free update patch and the extra characters were not even completed, CS Extend was a further update patch with the first game's story line as well as story mode for all the new characters which weren't included in the DLC.

while crapcom's fighters add in more characters, they have far too many clones while the characters added in BB are all unique from one another. additionally, while the DLC (aside from the characters that legitimately were not complete) for BB have been stupid palette swaps and announcer voices, these are all vanity items. where as the DLC characters for SFxT were all functional. crapcom was essentially selling a demo disc for full price.

I'm definitely getting this. Pretty excited if I do say so myself. If it ever comes to consoles (which most likely I think it will), then I'm hoping for a Vita release as well.

When this new BB game is not just a character expansion and can offer a new story etc. than I´m totally in!

Really hope we get this on PC, we got Calamity Trigger and I loved it.

Enough with this incremental bullshit. Why not devote the resources to a true sequel?

I don't particularly like the series, but I think it should be clear that this is, at least by appearances, a whole new game. New backgrounds, new neutral animation, a ton of changes to the old cast, and a new Overdrive system. I worry that it'll be harder to balance or, to honest, learn new characters. The drive system is neat on paper, but in application it makes learning new characters very daunting and creates major imbalances.

@LReiviN Ark System Works got plenty of crap from its fans for Continuum Shift Extend. But while ASW is guilty of re-releasing games with arguably unsubstantial new content and overpriced dlc, people are more upset with Capcom because they have done the same things, on top of all the other crap they have pulled. And I don't know where you are, but where I am Continuum Shift and Extend were both released at reduced price, and SF4 Arcade Edition was the only Street Fighter released at reduced price.

@bigstinker2000 you don't seem to know how online additions work so allow me to educate you. When a developer releases something as small as say, a reballancing patch, that can cost them alone over several thousand dollars. They are also charged by Microsoft and Sony based on how much data the patch contains, adding even more costs to that. This new blazblue will contain multiple new characters, new stages, new animation, new sprites, new modes, and most of all, loads more sound and music files to go along with all that. In case you don't know, sound and music files take up a ridiculous amount of memory space. A patch of that magnitude would be stupid, ASW wouldn't be able to make a return based on how much it would cost to even ship a new game as DLC. This is the same reason why Valve can't update the 360 version of TF2, because Microsoft would force them to pay up for the many years worth of updates that the PC version has. If you don't like it, tuff nus. I would rather live in this day and age with reduced launch prices than back in the 90's when a new version could come out with barely a difference and cost $60 or more.

BB games usually cost around $30 USD. So either you're trolling or haven't even bought a BB game. Either way shut up.

I bought Extend at $50 USD because it came with a nifty art book and the DLC characters I haven't gotten for CS. =P
