Although there's really nothing here to note that's dramatically different from
our last Age of Conan update, we're happy to find that the upcoming MMORPG is chugging along to completion. We are under the impression that these new images are DX9 real time gameplay on the PC, however the specifics are not confirmed. The game is reportedly undergoing a closed beta and is scheduled for a late October release. Check out older shots in the
Conan community site.

I'm not talking about polygons or shaders or lighting. I'm talking about style. This game looks pure ugly. Whoever is designing the visuals doesn't have the right sense of what looks good IMO. It certainly doesn't seem to represent the fantastic and amazing world that is presented in the Conan books and comics. It just looks very bla. The only screen that doesn't look totally "by the numbers" is the last one.
