Neversoft is known mostly for their work with the Tony Hawk series, but it looks like they might be adding a certain guitar franchise to their resume in the near future. That's right, according to Neversoft's official Web site, they are looking for a few helping hands to work on an unknown Guitar Hero game.
Guitar Hero II was one of the biggest hits of 2006. So, why in the world would Harmonix leave such a great thing behind? Perhaps they want to revive one of their past creations? Or maybe they just want to bring the gaming industry a fresh new IP. Either way, I'm happy.

Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied: "bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways. Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
(also, give Neversoft credit for Gun at least, they've done some really awesome work besides THPS)
Damn MTV for buying the rights to Guitar Hero. Harmonix is doing an insanely good job at making these games. They are finishing up the GH 80's if what i hear is correct. Why would they not let them continue with GH3? I don't have Neversoft or anything, they do a good job making Tony Hawk and Project 8 is pretty fun. But keep GH at Harmonix, dear God.
The final level will take place on the set of the new Real World/Road Rules challenge set in Laguna Beach!
All the music will be Scr-Emo or current shitty punk rock.
Can't wait.
Thank you MTV.
Neversoft needs to hire all the harmonix staff if they want to do it right.
CKY lol.
