Nevermind the Wii straps -- Nintendo is recalling flaming DS power supplies photo

Nevermind those flying Wiimotes, some defective power supplies have been recalled in Japan which may melt and cook your children into little crispy corpses. You can identify these units by looking for the "JRC" tag in the lower left corner of the A/C adapter. They are apparently overheating due to manufacturing problems. Ouch!

The problem appears to only affect 200,000 Japanese customers, affecting both DS and DS Lite owners. If you know anyone who anxiously imported a DS, get them on the horn asap. Digg it

Because it's not Sony or Microsoft, this will just fly right by the Internets.

Man, I hope it affects my imported DS, because then, Nintendo has an out to not replace it!

Yay for automatically voiding warranties that leave the native country!

Only Sony's batteries caused a number of fires and there were 9.6 million of them all over the world.

200k only in Japan with only a threat of scalding your hand isn't quite so bad in that light.
