From the I-shit-you-not-dept: "Super Mario Bros 2.5D is a remake of the classic, Super Mario Bros... in 3D. How can you remake a 2D game in 3D? Add depth! Defeat enemies as Mario in a whole new way with 3D views and 3D graphics!" More screenshots, info, and where to download it after the jump:

This game is very simple, like the origional Super Mario Bros. You are playing for two purposes: -Beat every level, defeat Bowser, and save Princess Peach -Get the top score on the high scores list. When you start the game, there will be a small intro, followed by a prompt to press "Enter". After you do that, the game will begin. You can run left and right by pressing the corresponding arrow keys. You can jump by pressing (And holding to jump higher) the up arrow key. You can change the view by moving the camera to see Mario at a different angle. You may do this by pressing W,A,S,and D. They move the camera in the corresponding direction. R makes the camera zoom in and F makes it zoom out.

Enemies: You can kill most enemies by jumping on top of them. If you hit them from the side, you will die. The enemies that look like mushrooms are called Goombas. You can kill them by jumping on top of them and they will dissappear. The enemies that look like turtles are called Koopas. You can jump on top of them, and they hide in their shells. When you only see the shell you may hit it again (Even from the side) and the shell will slide in that direction. If you get hit by a moving shell, you will die. To stop the shell, jump on top of it again. You can jump extra high by jumping off the top of a shell. You get 100 points for each enemy you kill and an extra 100 for each enemy you kill with a Koopa shell.

Items: ? Boxes can be opened by jumping up and hitting the bottom of it with your head. Most boxes contain a coin which is worth 1 point. Once you hit it, the box usually turns to a darker color. That means there is nothing left in the box. If a yellow and red mushroom comes out (TBA), you will grow into the large Mario. Now you can get hit once and not die! If you hit a box as big Mario that would normally contain a "Power Up" mushroom, a Power Flower (Or Fire Flower) will appear. If you get it, you can now shoot fireballs! There are 2 other mushrooms; 1UP and Poison. 1UP gives you an extra life. Poison kills you.

Bricks: The blocks that look like many bricks stacked up can be destroyed the same way a ? Box can be unlocked. This can help for reaching secret areas.

Pipes: The green pipes sticking up out of the ground can have many purposes. Normal pipes do not do anything. Warp pipes (Marked with a white arrow) warp you to the next level. Pihranna pipes contain pihrannas. They go in and out of the pipe and can only be killed with the Power Flower or a Koopa Shell.

Flags: At the end of most levels is a flag. The higher up you hit the flag pole (On your first hit only), the more bonus points you get. When you hit the flag pole, you go to the next level. Good luck!
