If I bought this I would entirely expect to be able to remove screws from the bottom and open it up to reveal wooden circuitry.

I'll call it a fail... if you're going to spend that much time making a replica, make it a replica. If he was trying to create a flawed NES, then it's a win.

I agree it would be super cool if it was a functional flatscreen and NES but really, all it is now is a flawed wooden scuplture. Not really surprised it didn't sell. Still surprised the guy who needed to pay his bills got 50k though, that's nuts.
The reversal of the B/A and Select/Start buttons is inexcusable for the price it has been listed at. $2.50 and I would buy it for firewood.
Those knots on the controller kill it for me. It looks like it's going to snap if I hold it like the real thing.
