ToysNendoroid Solid Snake comes with a low-poly head photo

I've never gotten into Nendoroid, but after seeing that Wind Waker Link figure and now this Solid Snake one, all I can say is "send help" -- it's happening sooner than later.

The key features here, in my book, are the alternate low-polygon face (created using data from Metal Gear Solid, according to Good Smile Company) and a cardboard box that's a miniature version of the actual box the Nendoroid will ship in. Love me some attention to detail. Other accessories include a handgun, assault rifle, and cigarette. He can even go prone!

Pre-orders for Solid Snake are opening this week. Good Smile is also planning to produce a Venom Snake figure from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Goodbye, money.

Splatoon might just be Nintendo's most promising new game

When Nintendo announced its wacky four-on-four shooter Splatoon at E3, I thought it looked cool -- spraying ink on the battlefield and then swimming around in said ink is cool -- but I didn't freak out like some people. Havi...more

Shovel Knight looks great in 16-bit, Aegis Defenders just looks great

Oh my goooddd. How did I miss this until now? It's like a Nausicaa game. Thank you sir Shovel Knight for making a cross over appearance (above) in Aegis Defenders, which is how it came to my attention.  The Kickstarter already passed its initial funding goal and its PS4 stretch goal. Local co-op and a Wii U version are up next. Here's hoping. This looks amazing. more
