Just the sad truth of the matter when it comes to movies based on games. Uncharted might seem like a perfect fit considering it's very much like a movie, but that's really it's biggest strength: That's it's like being in control, or playing, a big budget summer action movie, and a pretty good one at that.

Prob gonna have Bradley Cooper, which i actually think is ok. he's decent, and Limitless was a good movie.

@ boe vice actually... That wouldn't be bad either, if we couldnt get Fillion, Norton, I suspect, is versatile enough to pull this off, at least in this humble moviegoers opinion.
Well if this "has" to be made, he's a pretty good director and definitely a step up from typical video game film directors we usually see.

Do you guys really want Nathan Fillion? Personality wise he is the same person and they have similar facial features, but Fillion is looking too old (like mid-late 40s old), when Drake is like 29. Plus Fillion looks more built than Drake. Fillion nutmunchers relax, they can do better... Will they? Probably not.
If they don't go with Nathan Fillion, I'd honestly like to see James Roday in the role of Nathan Drake. But if Burger brings along Bradley Cooper, I wouldn't be too upset.

who says the movie has to take place around the same time the video games do? When the first details of the movie were coming out I kept thinking that they should just nab Fillion and set the movie at a later part in his life. That way we don't get a movie that is directly based on any of the games, but continues Drakes adventures. Also, everyone wins by getting Nathan Fillion.

I can't be the only one who thinks Jeffrey Donovan and Bruce Campbell would be the perfect choices for Nathan and Sully. Just watch an episode of Burn Notice and you'll see what I mean.
Dammit people, why do want the movie to be close to the game? That's going to make it suck. It'd be better if it was its own project, a movie for the sake of making a good movie, than if it tried to be a direct adaption of a freaking video game.

Seriously why do people even get their hopes up about this stuff? Resident Evil movie sucked, Silent Hill Movie sucked, Mario Movie sucked. (for their series as movies themselves they are half way decent) The only good movies are the ones coming out of Japan with 3D Animated, See Resident Evil and the new upcoming one that is coming out.
