In case you haven't had enough Halo 3 coverage in the past few days, I'll be taking over my beta and skills to the Epileptic Gaming crew for a pre- and post-show play session. This is your chance to not only see it live, in action, but to also ask questions on Stickam while we're playing it.
The coverage should start around 6 p.m. Eastern/3 p.m. Pacific right here, before the show begins at 7 p.m. Eastern. Also, if you stick around, we should be playing even more for you right as the show ends. Stock up on those Halo 3 questions and prepare to ask away.

Of course, Bungie knew they messed up with 2, saying it themselves. I just look forward to playing the beta, not only because it's a new FPS on 360, but because it will make or break the series for me personally, and I really hope it will catch my attention. Never would I, or could I ever be one of the "OMG HALO IS THE BEST CONSOLE FPS EVER! HELL IT IS THE BEST FPS IN EXISTENCE!" kind of people, but it'd be nice to be an actual fan of it for a change. :)
true, gears is my SLOOOOW shooter... Quake is fast and furious... then there's halo and resistance which are a middle speed. The beta is way overhyped , it's a little better graphically, sure it's beta not polished yet (bubble shield graphics are hot. In the end it's the same old halo with fun new equipment.... also how the fuck all these little kids get early beta invites too heh
My most anticipated games for the 360 at the moment are Resident Evil 5, Alan Wake and Assassins Creed... possibly devil may cry 4(im undecided yet). I think something that may end up with the ps3 winning this nextgen-war is the diversity of game... the 360 as much as i love it, seems to just be churning out FPS, GTA Clones and Racing games which all bore the piss out of me.
I wouldn't wait a second to say Halo is overrated, because I really do think it is. But it would be nice to honestly be impressed by it for once.
conversely, I actually agree with you, I think after Gears of War, Crackdown, and Rainbow 6: Vegas, Halo is showing its age a little. A bubble shield alone isn't exactly filling me with glee and I have yet to see anything really innovative or breathtaking with this one (so far of course).
and I fucking love unreal tournament, I think Epic really is the standard to beat for online FPS multiplayer. I'm much more excited about Unreal 3/2007. honestly I think halo 1 multiplayer will always be the best in the series

Seriously man give it up, FPS's work fine on consoles. You might prefer PC Fps and thats fine I love them to, but I am not as dumb and ignorant as you to just dismiss a game because you think its to slow.

Fair enough, that's cool. Thank you for being intelligent about your opinions. You have opinions based on your own experience with the game, as opposed to just saying, "RAWR, i r on teh internets and ah dun like teh haloo computerz r teh rockzorz in mah boxorz!" If you do end up playing Halo 3 after all, I'd be interested in hearing your impressions on the game.
