Races, in a racing game? OLD! Cops and Robbers in a racing game? Uh, new ... I think? Well, at least it's new for the Need for Speed series, anyway.

Need for Speed: Undercover pits two teams of 4 players against one another in "Cops 'N Robbers," an online mode that's exactly what it sounds like. EA Black Box has even gone to the trouble of creating a video to highlight it so you don't have to put that imagination of yours to work.

I hadn't really been keeping an eye on Undercover thus far, but from what little I'm seeing in the clip above, I dig the lighting effects and the game itself actually looks like it could be fairly intense.

Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied: "bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways. I think it looks pretty fun for a rental. I enjoyed most wanted a lot because of the cop focus

I'm a big NFS: Most Wanted fan, and it seems like this is the true sequel to that one. I'll pick this up in the first week its released

The only difference I see between this and Hot Pursuit, which came out ten years ago, is the amount of players involved (more than two) and the checkpoints, or "money pickup/dropoff" locations, which is a direct result of the open-world style that NFS has branched off into.

As little of a fan of racing games as I have been in recent years, that actually looks entertaining. May hafta rent that.

Looks like Midtown Madness' money grab multiplayer mode, except with added cops. Sounds like fun to me. :O)

This looks way too short to be consistently fun. I hope it's just one of many multiplayer options, and that they include the old school Hot Pursuit mode.
