Need for Speed 2007 teaser; guess what stitches on a phallic metaphor mean ...

Yeah, I have no idea either. Then again, trying to decipher the subtext in an EA video game is akin to debating postmodern minimalist architecture after reading the back of a copy of Maxim magazine.

The teaser looks quite nice, though, I have to give them that. From the split second cuts of cars in motion, the graphics look to be top notch, but assuming they're anything other than cinematics would be akin to assuming you could discuss postmodern minimalist architecture after reading some post on the Internet comparing the relative cultural values of such and Maxim magazine.

In short, the dark side of the moon is cold and lonely. You've been warned.

Ok, so that post pretty much just said "there's a trailer out" ... the rest was just bubblewrap. When is said game coming out? What platform? Things like this should be reported kthxbai

I never liked the attitude of the NFS series, and from the looks of this it doesn't look like i'll be changing my tune anytime soon.

That was an sad trailer, this marks the end of need for speed series! Im more than sure that it will be online Gran Tourismo or Forza, but on all platforms! Like Motorcity online once was! Wich was a total failure, goddamit!

And dint EA say something about never ever making an NFS game few months ago???

From Boba:
"Omg... now every RICER on the fucking planet is gonna be putting stitches on their dodge neon or civic..."

From what I have seen since the fast and the furious came out, kids have been doing that... Yea it so lame, I like to keep my car clean and have that sleeper look.

Stitches? You've got to be joking me, so lame...

As for the trailer, I dont think it was a cinematic. I think its their new next gen engine looking real nice. I could go into detail as to why I think this, but I wont.

Please get rid of the douchebag actors in the NFS series. Maybe I'll actually buy this game instead of renting it when I'm bored..........I really hate that ronnie guy.

Turns on ignition; car blows up. At least they have that authentic ricer feel!

Even though I'm a sim fan, I rather liked Underground. Track design make a big difference, though, and I hope this trailer isn't suggesting racing tracks.

You know what we really need? A new Midtown Madness, or an actual completed and modern vesion of 'Vette. With radar detectors, working traffic lights, and all that other stuff we has back in the [good] Test Drive days that we haven't seen in years.

@bobafettm: I do like the customization aspect of the NFS games, but that's not to say that it's often taken too far. I generally can't get past the "white car + bronze wheels = sexy" look. Ok, maybe a carbon fiber hood, MAYBE.
