I know you folks are starting to compile your own personal lists of who will or won't be in attendance at E3 this year, right? Well it seems you can definitely count on seeing Zynga there, so go ahead and breathe a sigh of relief. A few others though, will not be making an official appearance.
Atari and NCsoft have both confirmed that they will not have a booth this year. NCsoft, with Guild Wars 2 launching in the near future, stated that their focus will be on events that let them connect directly with gamers, not the press. That's a totally justifiable decision seeing as the press is already in love with Guild Wars 2. As for Atari, it's just not their scene anymore. Eve Online dev CCP Games won't be attending as an Exhibitor, but with Dust 514 just over the horizon I'd be baffled if they weren't a part of Sony's press conference. Finally Blizzard, who still won't be attending. Diablo III is almost here, World of Warcraft is getting its Mists of Pandaria expansion, they've got their own flavor of Dota in the works, and not only are they skipping E3, but Blizzcon is cancelled this year? What is this nonsense?!
At least we've got Zynga. I suppose they're making a strong effort to win us over. Us, the gamers who cry "THOSE AREN'T REAL GAMES!" at the first mention of Farmville. I hope there's Words with Friends swag. 'Swag,' by the way, is worth 8 points.

In this edition of Office Chat, I'm joined by Jordan Devore and Kyle MacGregor, as we express our enthusiasm for Namco's announcement that Project X Zone will see western release, our hope that Atari may actually rise from the ashes and our dismay at politicians making dramatic crack shots.
