NCAA 09 patch details photo

EA is aware that NCAA Football 2009 has some unfortunate and glaring issues. The first patch to the game is expected around next week. It is set to resolve both the nasty roster glitch and reordering depth chart issue. According to Pasta Padre, another patch for the game has already been sent to the authorities at both Sony and Microsoft.

This second patch will fix a pretty big list of stuff that I never even encountered while I played the game. Some of the things mentioned are a fix for recruiting exploits, improved coverage on kicks, and “Slider” correction. The second patch is expected to get through the verification process by early September. This should be just in time for the third patch, which will address the “accessibility to people that don’t normally play sports games” and NCAA football exclusivity issues.

Hit the break for the full list on the second patch, and hope that the first one actually fixes the roster business.

This is simply a test of how my username displays. Apologies to our ex-colonial cousins across the pond for doing so in a post related to their sport. That is all.

Good lord, it just absolutely amazes me how EA keeps shoveling out an updated version of their previous games that have not seen a major overhaul since, what, 2001 or so. So typical.

You mean EA Sports, under the new direction of Moore, put out a game that's riddled with bugs that needs a severe tampon of a patch to make it work as intended??

Shocking.

I wonder how Madden will fair? I think I know the answer.

@Y0j1mb0 - Madden was running pretty good, man. I agree that NCAA had its problems, but the game still worked and delivered what it was supposed to.

glad I waited a couple of weeks to buy the game.

when will the whinecats stop blaming the folks @ EA exclusively for exclusivity agreements? The entities they sign those agreements deserve just as much, if not more, after all - they're the ones that decided to a) sign an exclusive deal in the first place and b) sign it with EA. All EA is guilty of is making a sound business decision, one that every other studio would jump at if they had the resources

It absolutely amazes me that people make the same lame "I can't believe EA keeps releasing the same game over and over ZOMG" comments, even though:

a)they aren't amusing
b)they don't make you interesting and
c)it has all been said 18371737 times before.

Isn't there a little bit of irony in blasting a company for doing the same thing over and over again by making the same comment about it over and over again?
